  • www.kerryskamp... Today, I'm sharing a lesson for intermediate/advanced guitarists. I'm teaching how I take a progression and add the "sauce" or "ear candy" to it, so it stands out tastefully. There are a lot of nuggets in this lesson so watch it several times. Learn the principles. The point is not to memorize the chord progression, which is why I didn't add the chord diagrams. I want you to focus on the ideas I'm demonstrating.

    Mr. Smooth-
I literally can’t express how fortunate I feel to have stumbled upon your tutorials. It seems like you’re aware of videos with too much banter and shop talk and not enough building chops. You’ve trimmed all the fat. Everything about your teaching style is so on point. Thank you for sharing the methodology you’ve worked so hard to find that gave you “your voice”. Love and Respect from Austin, Texas.

Great lesson, Kerry, love the embellishment ideas, on a fairly simple chord progression, and how you bring so much feeling to it! Reminds me of a modern version of the sort of style Curtis Mayfield did so beautifully, back in the 60's & 70's. All the best from down under, cheers

I have my own publishing company with songs that cover all genres. All songs are written by myself. I license my songs to artists who want to record and perform them. But, I don’t write songs and simply give them away. I am currently working with a hip hop artist right now. What style of music are you seeking ? Do you have a TH-cam channel I can view to see your style ?

Yes!! Love this Kerry!! This is what I'm looking to dive deeper into! Learning to add that "sauce" to chord progressions and better to understand those "movements!" Not only how and when to apply them, but again to better understand where each chord fragment, triad or movement comes from. To me it's all just as important. That said, thanks so much for all you do! I'll be drilling this all week for sure and even longer if needed! Definitely keep these type of lessons coming here and at (of course extended) at Kerrys Kamp!! Thanks again!
