Musical prodigy is the perfect definition for Miyako, this lady is so talented it's not even funny.... There's that one part from Lovebites' "Live from Abyss" dvd, where she's shredding the guitar with one hand, while playing on the keyboard with the other, at the same time! She and her ''partner in crime", Midori, are probably one of the greatest metal guitar duos right now. As if seeing them playing their individual solos wasn't impressive enough, their twin guitar harmonies live, are so on point, it's crazy.
I had a similar experience at two meet & greets: In Lindau, Germany I thanked them for coming to Europe, a great show and said "see you tomorrow". The next day (Milan, Italy) I thanked them for another great show and said "see you in Tokyo on September 1st". Miyako's facial expression was genuine suprise like she could not believe they have fans willing to travel for their art.
While in her own words "Midori is faster and more technical than I am," Miyako has some great strengths as a guitarist, too. And she's still plenty technical. Brilliant guitar pair that one. But that's not uncommon in the Japanese "girl's metal" scene. KOIAI's Lisa-X and Hazuki, Ark Royal's Illumina and Noiko, Bridear's Ayumi and Moe...
Once in a lifetime talent, and such a humbled human being. She plays heavy metal yet composes with a classical mindset, absolutely scary what she is capable of; in the greatest way possible of course! There is NO ONE today who writes music like Miyako. They are 13-15 years old, you won't fathom. Petch has improved her singing later, but this Richie Blackmore solo is just incredible. But find a version where the keyboard is audible, these are just smartphone recordings in the street.

Imagine if Miyako left Lovebites. Could the band continue to be so successful? Many of the compositions that make Lovebites what they are would be missing. I find that unimaginable.

It is hard to ignore how she includes her favorite composers into her Lovebites songs, 'Above the Black Sea' is written to compliment Rachmaninoff's Piano concerto #2, which she really loves. Her guitar solo starts the song off in a passionate but eerie tone, slow and tasty, setting the mood for the entire song, the song is complete with 4 guitar solos total, 2 for Miyako and 2 for Midori. Total classic.
All of the piano pieces she plays during Lovebites concerts are top notch compositions, Her most recent DVD/Blu ray had a piano solo 'La Campanella' by Liszt, incredibly on both guitar and the piano. She made a solo album which has 5 heavy metal classics + 1 Lovebites songs converted into a piano songs.
Miyako has moved from piano to guitar with once in a life time results. The piano gave her training for guitar which is similar in using chords. It is the Japanese culture that produces such prodigies. NOT A.I.
Never heard of her before. She has great dexterity and skill, but the drums and percussion get in the way. Not sure the guitar composition is very remarkable. I'd rather listen to her piano efforts.
