Gotta say I'm the next man up on that very same bike. Went down to White Lightning, saw it, rode it, fell in love, and bought it. I'm a bit older and transitioning from a more sporter riding Triumph Sprint RS to this bike and it checks a lot of the boxes some of which you mention in other videos. I can ride longer without killing my back and it is light and nimble, perfect for the daily commute. And power and torque is spot on. Ty thanks for taking such great care of this bike.
You are very welcome and I'm so glad to hear that motorcycle went to someone that loves it. White Lightning is a great dealership and they have always taken good care of me. Have a great day sir!
Thank you for the videos on this bike Ty. They have been super helpful. I just purchased one tonight in the same color and bought the QR windscreen, mid controls, and Sundowner seat based on the info you shared. I really appreciate it. Great videos. 👍🏾
Gotta be honest Ty, as a fellow Sportster S rider, and a fan of your videos for the last 9 months, I'm really disappointed to see you getting rid of yours. We've had a ton of communication about different things about this bike. That being said, I wish you good luck and safety on whatever it is you're getting. Take care my friend!
Hey Kevin! Nothing bad to say about the Sportster S. Such a great bike. I appreciate the well wishes and I sure hope you still visit and support the channel! Have a great week buddy!
hahhaha. Hey David. Yup, I ended it that way on purpose. I should have another video releasing in a few days...if the rain holds off...Thanks for watching!
Your Sportster S is now listed on the White Lightning HD website for $15,988.00. For the sake of full disclosure, it would be interesting to hear from you about how much you traded her in so we can all get a sense of how crazy the used market for motorcycles is right now. (Here is hoping you're not bound by some sort of confidentiality agreement with White Lightning HD and can actually post this information. It seems my first comment with the URL to the actual listing was deleted...)
Hey there. I'm not bound by any NDA with White Lightning, but I don't disclose my personal financial information on TH-cam. I'm sure you can understand that. What I can tell you is that WL is a great dealership and while a business needs to make a profit, my experience with that team is that they are just as much interested in treating people fairly and honestly. From what I see, it seems like a very reasonable price to me. Thanks for you time today. I appreciate that very much!
@@Matthewlewis24 Call White Lightning Harley Davidson in Chattanooga TN and ask for Stanton. Is he’s not available Waldo can help you out too. I don’t know what plans they have for the bike. Great dealership and if they’re able they will take great care of you. Thanks buddy!
Hey Bill! Nothing bad to say about the Sportster S, but I think it's going to be a good decision for me. I appreciate your time very much today! Have a great rest of the weekend!
I got to admit I’m tempted to go to a PAS, but maybe just sit tight another year and see what comes next with the revolution max. I liked my M8 road glide and see it still sitting at my dealership. But after the responsiveness of the Sportster S I think I’d only really be after the storage. I just don’t have the time for my 5 to 10 day excursions 3 or 4 times a year any more.
Hey Greg. I completely understand where you're coming from. I have a few friends that own PanAmerica (Broncoride and Petes1800). They love those bikes and I think they're pretty cool too. Thanks for watching sir. Have a great day!
I just bought a sportster S. I pick it up tomorrow because SMHD didn’t have one in their possession. I haven’t rode one yet. My question is. If I put it into rain mode will it accidentally raise up on regular throttle use? How about road mode? I am kinda afraid of it watching all these crazy videos. Oh yeah I only have 2 months experience riding.
Hey Richard! If you don't have a lot of experience riding I would recommend keeping the bike in Rain mode until you get a feel of the motorcycle and are comfortable, then you can switch over to Road Mode. The bike is crazy fast so be sure and exercise some self control! Thanks man. I really appreciate your time today.
Well Ty kinda sad but I can't say anything. I traded mine in 2 weeks ago on the lowrider st .The sportster s great bike for younger person but my back just didn't like rides too long. This like you not my primary motorcycle however, this lowrider is so fun for me.Good luck in next choice !
I completely understand that James. I still have some aches and pains from a motorcycle wreck that happened a few years ago. Sometimes riding stretched out would aggravate that. Thanks man and I sure hope you enjoy that LRST!!
TY, I am having a reoccurring issue with my 2021 Sportster S stalling while in motion or stopped in traffic. Wondering if you had the same experience? Thanks
Hey David. Sorry to hear about that. I never did have that experience with the Sportster S. Check to see what codes your bike is showing and you may have to take it in to your local dealership. Sorry if I"m not much help!
@@TyFromTennessee Thanks for sharing, I will have to take into the dealership for diagnostics, just curious if you had the same experience as you never mentioned in one of your videos, at least the ones I saw. Thanks for the reply and keep up the work you do on the channel!
My son has one that has about 2k miles on it and it's been in the shop for a total of 8 weeks so far. They're having a software issue if you ride the bike hard and get close to the speed limiter it will start throwing codes and shutdown. It actually shutdown on him and locked the rear brakes while going down the highway.
Hey there! I think it could be a good first motorcycle, but I would keep the motorcycle in rain mode until you get very comfortable riding. Thank you very much for watching!
