This is my favourite ever (in the history of ever!) arts documentary. Russell Harty visits Salvador Dali at his private museum and makes contact with the widescreen ego that is D-A-A-A-L-I-I-I-!
Sorry about the shadowing & fuzzy quality, I rescued this from a VHS recording made in the late 80s. This is generally what TV looked like pre-digital.

Farquar , in his usual snooty manner , oftentimes described by those who knew him least as . . . "Hopelessly trapped within his hopeless vanity" stared down at my shoes and stifled a laugh. "My dear fellow", he said , continuing:" How on earth can you possibly expect me to respond to your perfectly legitimate question when you have the bare-faced cheek to address me with your suspicions whilst wearing such atrocious shoes? " He turned to leave. "Utterly perplexing!!" , he snorted.
