- This is how I built a creamy keyboard for under 80$ (dummy friendly)
- Sound test in the end !!
I also went on a mini shopping spree on keyboard materials. The switch layering tool was super convenient :))
This is the GMK67 (it came in pre-built with many layers of poron dampening foam)
I bought a matching coiled wire for under 10 bucks for the keycaps which were also under 10 bucks.
My take on this? I think this may be one of the best budget keyboard if you're new to keyboards like me.

This is a very chill video! I'm so glad i discovered it. The build came out nicely!
thank you so much 🙆♀️
@@mintscozyspacewhat are the key caps called?
the quality is so great on this vid man and very nice build, love how you showcased everything neatly and tidily :)
glad you thought so !! thank you so much :))
I love the choice of music in this video... It makes me feel warm
I just built myself a gmk67 with akko v3 pro blue swtiches and It sounds and feels pretty good.
I love the value of the barebones kit.
I got it first 35 dollars
I was just scrolling through youtube and this popped up as recommended. So glad it did, what a relaxing and smooth video 🤩
Glad you enjoyed it!
same lol
this is litterly my dream keyboard!! A clean nice looking set of keycaps, and the sound is nice and creamy but tactile and poppy! i like tactile switches but i hate that they're so loud. Glad I clicked on this video!!
LOVEE this video so much, so underrated and so lovely, great quality and nice build :3
thank you so much !!
Damn clean build, just letting anyone know (who is willing to purchase this board) that it is always shifting in prices. I bought mine for 22, but it's at a way higher price now.
lucky! bought mine for 30

Very nice build, and THIS VIDEO, my friend, I like it A LOT! Keep up the good work!
Thank you, it means a lot 🩷
really nice video! very satisfying sound
Oh my gosh... Im watching this after receiving all of the parts besides the main board to my new budget build and realized that we bought very similar boards! (and had the same previous boards being the rk61) but i bought the black gmk 67, with akko v3 cream black switches, and the same brand keycaps but oem profile wob just english legends. I also noticed we have the same lubing station, though i never ended up actually using it. My lubing was more chaotic LOL great video tho. glad yours came out very good!
Im looking for a deeper sound in my board though. I think im going to foam mod it and tape mod the pcb. Ive had experience with tape but not foam yet so i am very excited.
idk why but the music just fits so well
this was the first keyboard video to make me make a face of awe. Like, idk how to describe it but I literally said out loud "oh my god 😫" when you started typing
glad you thought so !!
Sounds sick! epic video
thanks :))
that gasket though 😍
Ahh this video makes me comfy sleepyyyyyyyyyy😌
this sounds amazing
glad you think so, thank you :))
Today i made one exactly like this, i did some cottom foam and tape mod and it was amaziiiinnnng, i love this keeb
thank youuu, glad you think so
Very nice build! I would suggest to support the back of the PCB when installing switches though so as to not damage the hotswap sockets.
got it! thanks for the tip :))
Keyboard looking clean and the gasket performance :O
thank you :)))
I love it😮😮
thank you !!
I just finished my mod on budget version of zuoya 65% and also using akko v3 pro cream yellow, and also relubing it. For the case i put a bunch of voice reduction foam and little polyfill, and tape mod the pcb. Thocky and creamy I would say the result
underrated asf
Nice video! Where did you get the coiled cables?
I think im going to try to build this as my first ever modded keyboard since i'm not really sure how to pick out parts and i'm on a budget so i might just copy the parts because i really like this keyboard build. Is there any way you could put the links to everything you bought in the description?
For the keyboard, i got the gmk67 by zuoya (it came in pre-built), the mods they did to it were adding poron quilted cotton and poron switch pads above the PCB circuit board. Underneath the PCB circuit board they used a silencing sponge and some poron gasket. I hope this makes sense 😅
@@mintscozyspacecan you maybe make a tutorial video?
yoooo nice keeb build, maybe soon enough ill try posting vids about my first ever keyboard from AULA
i fell in love with the cable can you tell me where did you bought it from
those keycaps are so cool!! what are they called?
Hi! May I know where you bought the materials?? (Switch puller, the lubes, etc). Thanks!
(Would really appreciate it if you send the URLS)
i'm totally playing curious music like this in the background the next time i'm putting something together
I love this keyboard. It sounds good and its budget. i wuold like to know where you got these for so cheap cuz i cant find it
They were on sale for half its price a while ago ;))
Could you provide a link to the keycaps that you had on the keyboard?
the music was a banger
awesome video! juzo, do you mind to link the board you used to lupe the switches, pls?
thank you :DD
heres the link: kineticlabs.com/misc/kelowna/kelowna-switch-lube-station
Can I ask where you got those Jujutsu Kaisen figures? Most say clean setup!
Thank you :)) i got the figures from amazon!
where did u get those hexagon lights :o
nicely done
Thank you !!
Lovely :)
Belive it or not, I have the EXACT same board AND switches. I set mine up the exact same way that you did, and mine doesn't sound anywhere near this creamy. Any other mods other than stabilizers and lubed switches?
i didn’t do any other mods besides the ones i showed in the video :) the switches by itself makes the keyboard creamy for my build!
hey i love your videos, can i have link to buy keycaps?
" chefs kiss right here"
Hey, Juzo! I came across your channel and instantly fell in love with it. I love your style of videos. It's so unique. I have recently been struggling financially and had to sell my entire setup just to get on my feet. Now that I'm back up and running I have a good job and everything. But no and days Mechanical Keyboard cost so much I'm talking 60-90$ and those are the bad ones. I scrolled through a few of your video's and saw all the types of keyboard's you have. I would love to even have your worse keyboard?
I ducking love my Akko V3 Cream Yellow
if you like the gmk67, i recommend getting a weliav sugar 65 for your next build!
your caps lock is also upside down ;-;
what website did you buy everything at and can you please list everything in order pls
Perfect 👌
Glad you think so :))
On the relubing part, did you have to remove the stock lube? Or you just applied it directly with the stock lube?
the switches came in unlubed :))
Any chance of getting a link for the deskmat? Nice video btw
here you go :))

Nice vid btw what is the best switch out of cherry Mx silent brown and cherry mx silent red and gaton milky yellow
thank you :)) i haven't tried out the cherry reds so i don't know, but personally i love the milky yellows!
Ty ima get the parts next week
Ok I built the keyboard do I make like an asmr video or smt like that bc it was some THOCC on it so idk your a pro at this what should I do any recommendations on what I should do
where did u get the coiled cable?
Wow I did not know that this keyboard just needed to lube the stabs and switches and it will be gucci
does it matter where you put the switches or is it the motherboard or the thing under the switches that controls what the key is?
The PCB is wired to the switch socket. So the order of the switches does not matter because the socket it installs into will always register the key press it is supposed to.
im really undecided wether to buy akko v3 cream yellow pros or ws morandi switches, what do u guys think is the creamiest?
perfect vid to watch as i ate cereal
it sounds like foam
nice video
thank you so much :))
Sorry for asking, is there any switch that I can put unlubed and sound good? Gateron oil kings are out of my budget kinda
it really depends on how you want it to sound, personally i think the 'Akko V3 Cream Yellow' switches sound great without lubing!
I’m new to the keyboards community, so pardon me for asking, but what was the thing in the beginning that you put the switches and those screws in and what’s the purpose?
I think you're talking about the lubing station, it is optional to have one but personally it helps ease my lubing process and organization!
And im here stuck with a cheap but hot swappable keyboard that was a hand-me down from my brother with key caps i took off from a hyper x gaming keyboard that was my sister's but now its kinda mine.
My brother gave me the barebones of it and I modded it like maybe a bit too much but they were kinda like the mod but if you're more broke (somehow). Band-aid mod? I used scotch tape instead. Painters tape for the pcb? I also used scotch tape. Now I did lube the red switches that originally came with the keyboard with 205 lube and the stabilizers too. I did put foam and coin mod but like 2 days ago, I took it out because the hollow inside sounds maybe a bit better (for me at least).
The keyboard doesn't sound too bad. I also forgot to add, I have a akko matcha switch on the space bar, 2 akko speeds on the win and backspace key, and blue clicky switches on the pg up and down keys and the " `,~" key. I also have the letter key caps from the hyper x keyboard and all the other keycaps are clear. spacebar keycap is the one that came with the keyboard and esc key cap is a key cap from my brother's key cap set
Overall? I consider it the broke man's keyboard or something. is it ugly? depends on how you see a whole white keyboard with black keycaps as the letter keys and clear key caps on the other keys. Do I care? Not really that much because I use a laptop and have been for basically my whole life in terms of owning a pc in general. I have used pc's before. Why didn't I get one? Because I didn't have a choice and had to get a laptop because my dad thinks it'll last me till university... I am more than 4 years away from that.
Boy do I sure hope it will last. I mean don't get me wrong, i'm grateful that I got a laptop that can now play games. However, pc might be more reliable in the long run but that's what I hear from other people on youtube.
I can't believe I spent all this time writing a whole paragraph.
Hi! Can i do the same mod with low-profile keybord with optical switches?
May i know what key caps you use?
Can I get link to the switches and the wire?
Where did you get your aviator cable from ?
I am so sorry to ask this question here, but is cloth tape safe to use or will it cause any damage to the keeb and be hazardous?
a little late here but cloth tape is very sticky and might leave residue try masking or painters tape
Dang the princess switches are looking just a tad bit like banana splits
it actually does :o
Where did you get the switch lubbing station
where did u get ur mic thing for ur mic ykwim
W gojo figures
How did u build it for under 80 bucks? I cant find any of the parts for that price
He was probably in Asia I built the same exact one, cost me a little under 100 USD
Taobao and aliexpress
zuoya gmk67 fluctuates in price in aliexpress with the lowest being $27 usd with it being around $65 usd currently
Taobao stuff😂
Holiday sales
Did you lube this switches without clear before? I think before lube them you need to clear them from factory lube , I think yellow cream pre-lubed.
Sry if I said something wrong
the switches came in un-lubed :))
beautifu
May I ask what mic it is you’re using to film this? or what mic is in the video?
it's the fifine ampligame A6 microphone :))
Satoru Gojo claims that you bought this keyboard at half of it's price
*gasped*
could you link the keycaps please?
sound test at 3:32 btw
where did u get the lubing station
Do you have a link for the cable used please?
I should get a polycarbonate plate is what im seeing
i want to buy the gmk67 keuyboard kit and add banana split switches will it sound good??
i've never tried the banana split switches but go for it 😅
my keyboard gets all creamy and sticky at night but it doesnt sound any different?
Hey. just wondering whats ur mic by the way
it’s the Fifine Ampligame A6 :))
@@mintscozyspace thxxx ❤
am the 455th sub hehe
dang thats really good!!
thank you for the comment and for subbing too :))
I have the exact same build, except that i didnt lube my switches
Please give Link on buy Switch Opener! (from the video)
Why did the plate change from pc to something black?
Looks nice, but why the reversed capslock?
good question, but since there’s not a single keycap in that whole set that fits the caps lock slot, i decided to go with it 😭 i don’t know why the caps lock keycap was missing too ://
@@mintscozyspace That should be the CapsLock keycap, its arrow should be pointing down, try flipping it!
Link for the coiled cable?
what mic is used?
1 thing.. I saw that the switches where lowkey hard to push in 😅, have u forgot to take off the plastic protecting seal? 😆
i did send a message to the shop about the seal, but they said that i shouldn't remove it, so i didn't :>
@@mintscozyspace i removed it ...
bros other keyboard is exactly the same as mine. Go Royal Kludge!
I have the exact same build yet mine doesn't sound like this. Probably because I lubbed the switches with a cheap lube.
I think other mods also comes into account. I think you can try modding the keyboard with poron pads/cotton and use a silencing sponge.
what lubing station did you use
it's from kelowna!
here's the link!
www.zenoxstore.com/products/kelowna-lube-station
what mic is that?
Bro this sounds like a membrane from 1873
Keycaps?
What kind of mic is that?
it's a gaming mic :))
😍
got almost the exact same keycaps from amazon lol
what is this mousepa?
Where can I get that wrist rest?
