I just received my 3rd stripe on the white belt. I didn’t realise it was a big jump between 2 and 3. The biggest thing I noticed was mentality. A mentality of rolling to learn over rolling to win. That’s it cool to lose a round if you have an opportunity to work on the weakest part of your game. Feel like it’s getting fun now, and although blue belt was the goal. Now it’s actually just to stay on this rank for as long as possible and keep improving
I love the shift in perspective that comes with those stripes and how it changes the entire game! Truly you are beginning to see the coolest part of the sport and enjoy it for what it truly is. I hope you can keep having fun and find some amazing experiences in the depths of what BJJ can offer.
Nice work! That is so similar to what I had when I started in grappling and I am really glad I was able to mix the two styles together later in my journey. I hope you can get as much or more out of the experience than I did.

@ just a question. How long have you been doing jiu jitsu and what belt are you?
@ been training since 2017 I am a brown belt.
Thank you. I am at the 4 month mark. Just taking it as it comes. Two days per week BJJ, two days a week judo.
