Whatever they say, the main difference between a rough collie and a sheltie is the established, stable parameters of the standard. The Sheltie is an immature breed, the representatives of which display very different characters and habits; they are very restless dogs. The rough collie is an aristocrat of the dog tribe and therefore a collie forever.

When i was kid my dad bought me rough collie, I live in Serbia so price is about 60-150 euros, I got in love with that breed. I had only Rough collies till today. Idk why people are not interested more in this breed? Maybe because they are lazy and dont want to brush their dog often... Idk...

I have a rough collie and my collie barks insaney she barks about 62 times a day I think

I trained mine to come to me instead of barking, it took a lot of repitition, when we are walking he is allowed to bark a little but too much and he gets told not too and he can stop now which he learned by redirecting his attention to different tricks. He will always be vocal but atleast he is more civilised now.
