My health. This year I had a health scare. But received good test results back.
I applaud those who actually tried to make something even if the result wasn’t great. I think it speaks to how you work. Try and fail, at least you tried.

It’s just a work party not actual Thanksgiving. They might not have wanted to overdo it.
I’m an American living in New Zealand and the price of turkey here is outrageous. The whole idea of thanksgiving is being grateful for the harvest & what you were able to reap from the land, etc. so hubby and his buds went hunting and got a wild boar which was shared with 4 families. They don’t celebrate thanksgiving here, but we had a very nice feast and didn’t have to deal with creative ways of using up the leftover turkey. We might have pheasant next year cuz there’s been a population boom of them this year.

It’s kinda sad that most didn’t even try to find a family recipe and actually make it. Instead they went the easy way and bought and or make easy things. Like the whole title was family recipes not just potluck 😅

@@piamishelle I’m sure that there is at least ONE thing someone in their family had made them in their life that had a lasting impression. Mine would be my nana’s cabbage soup. That’s the ONLY thing that would count. ( I don’t mean for this to sound rude, I just have a very difficult time saying what I mean in text format. Please don’t take it wrong all love no hate from me 💜💜)

well its their choice, for joslyn ang lily fans they have their shared channel for people who love them and lets appreciate the ones who stayed.
Some of us feel just fine without them... Lily always was hella annoying. Joslyn was ok.
I love and watch both channels and I love that Clevver is still going strong and is now allowing us to get to know other people whom we might not always got to see as much before.
It would be a conflict of interest for Lily and Joslyn to be on Clevver now that they have their own channel and it mirrors some of the same content. Erin and other girls have also not been on The Shared Channel.
Just use jiffy cornbread mix. It’s premixed with flour. Can’t be messed up.

Our Tradition in this 2 chef household is, My husband and I cook and invite friends over. Our first Thanksgiving in our first house together our stove went out and out of necessity we had to do the Turkey on the grill. My husband debones the Turkey,stuffs it with homemade stuffing, rolls it up and wraps it in bacon and smokes it on the grill with pecan and apple wood. That Roulade is the best Turkey ever never dry and then makes gravy with said drippings from the Turkey and bacon. It's a magical thing!

I'm 32 and I cant cook butt i can bake and ppl live my baking so i let everyone know ahead of time only do desserts, because when I bake my heart tells me when stuff is done and if it is right, but when I cook I start fires like big ones

The thing I have been most grateful for every year for the past 13 is my dog Sophie and how much she impacted and changed my life. I had her since Christmas of 2005 and I would not be where I am now if it weren't for her. Unfortunately I lost her to congestive heart failure August of last year and it's been a daily struggle to get through life without her but I definitely feel like I am much stronger because of it.

yasss girl sugar in cornbread! Amazing! Sugar in everything in the south gravy,deviled eggs, cornbread, fried chicken just any and everything thing!! Sugar and butter are a must have in the south!!
I make bacon wrapped dates too! I stuff mine with blue cheese and drizzle with a smidgen of either honey or maple syrup depending on which I have on hand.

As the weather gets colder we do a Crock-Pot potluck. With chili, warm cheese dips, stew, chowders, whatever is the person favorite or family recipe. I personally don't cook so I bring a ton of what I call the extras... Sour cream, shredded cheese, Fritos, olives,etc....

We always make an amazing orange fluff recipe! It is made with orange jello, mandarin oranges, tapioca pudding,and whipped cream! It is heavenly!!!

My family always has a potluck style dinner and everyone brings something but of course grandma hosts the party so she likes to do most of the cooking.something that always makes it to the kitchen is cheesy potatoes.its amazing and honestly I don’t think thanksgiving would be the same without it!

I always make melktert for potlucks. Its palatable for most people. My mom make bobotie when she goes to potlucks and most americans dont understand it.

Two treats that scream Holidays to me. First, mint chocolates (After Eight traditionally, and I still love them, they're nostalgic to me, but now I get locally made dark chocolate mint sticks from my local chocolatier instead! They also make chocolate covered pretzels and expresso beans, perfect holiday trio!). Second, Rice Krispies squares. All you need is butter, marshmellows and Rice Krispies cereal. And a little vanilla extract! I like to keep mine thinner than the store-bought version (I just cut bigger squares, haha), it keeps them fluffier, it just requires better fridge space... so I plan accordingly. You can stack them with layers of wax paper afterwards, but they need to cool in one layer first!

As a southern girl this is sad. Y’all need to experience a traditional southern soul food thanksgiving. Y’all would probably gain a few pounds, but it’s so worth it.
Certain parts of canada make those chocolate cookies! My family calls them chocolate hay stacks.

During the holidays, my family ( I’m talking my entire extended family) gets together to make tamales. We go to my mom’s house and make like over a 1000 that’s gets split between family members.
