this was actually so cool, just broke a year long running drought yesterday (because injury) and it's inspiring to see others not only go through the same thing but move past it
Keep going!!
Eric’s humility more than shines through in this video. Loved everything about it. Excited to see the progression!
That's super kind! Thank you!
What a goatttt!!! As a 20 year filmmaker and athlete, I can definitely relate to what he’s been through. Keep pushing brotha!🤝🏼
Ken!!!
Cyrus is so chill, what a legend.
For real. Goated.
Loved this! Been battling with the uncontrollable injuries and raising my two young children. Got sidelined at my peak running ability and admittedly it was crushing. But today of all days I am back to start of the summer, feeling all the vibes of turning myself back into the strongest version of myself. Thank you! Really needed this one!
Think this could be the start to a great series on this channel. Maybe interviewing other runners in Chicago and either running with them or filming them run. Main point is to get their running story out there. Could use this platform to bring some eyeballs to some locals, just a thought! Love the vid man 👊🏾
I've thought of it!
YOURE GOING TO RUN A MARATHON🤘🏼
6'1 and 130... Think we've found our injury cause
truth haha
Love this! We have to see more! Marathon coming for sureeee
More Cyrus content! Love it!
The very best of luck to you on this journey Cyrus, I am a natural 200 pounder who is slowly trying to get to 180 (due to my late age starting running ) , however I have managed to get close to a 90 in the half and 3:24 in the marathon and that is as a well built 55 year old. you look to be about 35 years younger then me so I really look forward to see how you do .. and you are spot on about the lactic resistance (though I have had some nasty cramps in an ultra )
Great video! One of my favorite videos of the Floberg Runs channel and I have seen them all. We love you Cyrus and you are going to run a marathon!
Let's goooooo
Oh my gosh, I was worried I was going to hate this video but LOVED it. You are such a great storyteller and we love you Cyrus! I totally respect the disinterest in running a full though if he’s still injury prone. I think if he can get back to consistently running year round without injury he might get the itch though 😁
My story was the exact same, I was gunning for a D1 scholarship but stress fractured my senior year of XC AND track and never saw what my full potential was. Here I am, nearly a decade out of HS learning to love running again but regretting that I burned most of my prime because I didn’t have the discipline to stick with it. Whatever you do, stick with it Cyrus!
Great video. I feel a marathon block coming on... Go Cyrus!
This was an awesome fun video after your last couple races!! Cyrus I am shooting sub 3:10 at Indy - let's go 😂
Cyrus repping my hometown was a wild surprise 941 😮
Awesome work Cyrus! Keep crushing it yall
I understand not wanting to overcommit to an event, time or distance goal when the body isn’t squared away so consistent training isn’t a sure thing. I hope you keep exploring and find what works for you Cyrus! Would love to follow along that journey as there are many of us out there facing similar challenges.
Cyrus is the goat! Words can't express what an incredible job he did with the Boston series!
Yes! Such a legend
Worth a sub 5 factoring in the Montrose track wind exposure 🤙 Go Cyrus
Hahaha so true
We love you Cyrus. You WILL run a marathon! Sub 5 project let's go!!!!
heck yes!!
Let’s go Cyrus🐐
Amazing video! Great duo. Fun video, loved it.
Thanks for watching!
This is a tough guy, can't imagine the mental fortitude to keep gunning for it
Loved this kind of content
Cyrus has that dawg in him! If he runs Indy, I’ll run with him!
Let’s go Cyrus! You deserve all the flowers! See you at Indy 😈
This was awesome to see! Good work Cyrus!
Great video, Floberg. Cyrus, here is my prediction, your first marathon with be 3:33:00.
Only 20, wow. Some serious filming and editing talent right there any young enough to do multiple marathons.
He's unreal
Great to see the back story. Impressive
WE LOVE YOU CYRUS! GO GET THAT MARATHON!
Cyrus, what a legend!!
Truly
let's go one more great vídeo. Thank you
Great time. Wow with no training. Let's go. Great video
Stud
The shots on the track were really cool! Was that done on the gopro? It looked really smooth if it was shot by someone running next to him.
It was on a mirrorless camera, gimbal, riding on my electric bike :)
@@flobergruns Ahahahaha, that makes sense! The shots were worth it though.
Hell yeah Cyrus!
WE LOVE YOU CYRUS
We need more Cyrus content.
Let’s go Cyrus, you’re going to run a marathon!
YES HE IS
Love u Cyrus
Cyrus is the 🐐
yessir
never watched this channel before but a cool video
Thanks for watching!
Still waiting for the next onefrom cyrus
bro is fast
💐💐💐
🐐
Damn, 20:xx 5k at 9!?
A prodigy, some would say.
@@flobergruns yeah, he's washed now.
Cyrus, other than the "experience", don't sweat missing college, especially if you were going for film and whatever. Your boss will agree with me (as we are both photographers), it is 90% business and 10% photography (or video). Make sure he teaches you the business side. Eric, are you listening?😁
Oh yes, Cyrus is the master student. Ready to pass me at any moment haha
I have been thinking about making a running channel, should I do it?
You'll always wonder what if if you never try! :)
Why not?🎉
you ... are going to do this.
if you really want to
I am going to say the unpopular thing: encouraging someone who has a history of injuries to run a full just a few months in the future is a bad idea. Inspiring, sure, but a bad idea nonetheless.
lol it was just banter - he’s not going to run a full for at least 5 more years
I bought that one hook line and it sinker, didn’t I?
kinda clickbait
Cyrus seems like such a genuine, down to earth guy. Best of luck buddy!!! I can only imagine how hard it is to overcome wanting to do something but feeling unable to because of injury. You got this!! 🫶🏼
He is. Such a legend.
@@flobergruns freaking out that you replied at the moment 🥲 big fan!!! Because of you, I’m running my first 10k tomorrow and I would’ve never thought I would have been able to run more than 3 miles in my life ever. Thanks for being an inspiration!! 🫶🏼
Cyrus repping my hometown was a wild surprise 941 😮
