    Note that duration of speed setting one is not the pump run duration, its the duration for that speed only. The pump run duration will be the combined duration of all set speeds. Also, to disable a button program the speed to 0 rpm.
    I installed my Superflo VS when we bought out house two years ago. So far its been a great pump. I don’t see any need to spend extra on more features that while cool don’t really add to the functionality.
    One thing I would like to add to the overall system is some basic automation (just have old style mechanical timers). What do you recommend for running a Superflo, a booster pump (for polaris sweep), and a light. Nothing fancy, no valves, spa, etc.

      Both Pentair and Hayward have entry level automation systems that you can control from an app on your phone that do just what you’re looking for! We’re normally well below $1,000 installed for these types of systems compared to 3K or more on a Easytouch, Aqualink or Hayward Logic automation system.

    question-after pool company installed Superflo VST on 6/13/22 we had reverse flow when we would clean the filter basket of the new pump. Tech added closing multiport (which we have never had to touch for 14 years unless backwashing) we set pump for 12 hours at 3k. Sunday 6/26/22 (13. days after installation of new pump) our system exploded. Pool co claims no responsibility. Others think foul play-we know because of security cameras-there was no foul play. All our valves were opened. Any thoughts on the reverse flow causing a build up in pressure enough to explode pipes? I hav tons of pictures and video-tomorrow the system will be taken apart and pipes will be replaced to try to uncover the mystery.

      I'm assuming the sand filter tank exploded as well and not just the pipes? If so I have a theory but no actual explanation. My tank has an air relief tube that runs from the bottom of the stand pipe up thru the sand. If your pump was running in reverse, that air relief tube had no where to release air except into the tank and pipes. The water flow comes into the tank, down the stand pipe, out the laterals, thru the sand then out the tank. If that process was reversed you'd be pumping sant thru the laterals clogging them thus building pressure that can't escape therefore....boom.

    Quick question, if all my programs (1-2 & 3) adds up to 12h (instead of 24h) will the pump cycle twice a day through them? Like repeat speed 1 from 6AM to 9AM and 6PM to 9PM, speed 2 from 9to12AM&PM and speed 3 from 12to6AM&PM?

    If connected to a Jandy AquaLink is the programming as easy as an intelliflo? Thx from Dallas

      Hey Dave, it requires a newer chip and an extension board so the Pentair pump and Jandy control system can talk to each other. If your system isn’t too old it can be done. I always like to match the pump to the automation and would look into Jandy VS pumps for what you’re trying to achieve. We have a few out on some of our accounts and they do a decent job.

      @@SwimmingPoolAZ-SPS Thx so much for the video and the above response. I have a 2005 version of Jandy aqualink and will have to get an update for any VS pump I buy. I just wanted to know if I should leave Pentair in the review since its reputation is so good. I now need to decide what board to buy.

      That’s a very good question. I was looking at this for just that reason. Learned nothing except that I have t reprogram the entire system every time I try to use it off schedule.

    What does it mean if the screen is flashing while the pump is running?

    • @SwimmingPoolAZ-SPS
      @SwimmingPoolAZ-SPS  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be an issue with the drive (the top part with the buttons and screen) how old is the pump? It may be under warranty.

    my "ext.control only" is lit up, how do i turn it off ? i cant operate the pump with it on, its seems

    • @SwimmingPoolAZ-SPS
      @SwimmingPoolAZ-SPS  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like it’s plugged into automation. You can set your automation for “service” or “time out” with the mode button. That should allow you to operate the pump from the display on the drive. The other way is to disconnect the data cable and you’ll get control from the drive display. More importantly, is your automation not working correctly?

      @@SwimmingPoolAZ-SPS thanks for the reply i managed to figure it out the same night, i hit the start stop button a couple of times and the ext control light switched off, pump started up.
