- This was one of the best camp sites I have ever been to. Very lively and and lots of fun. The Happy wanderers campsite is just one hour south of Durban and was a blast. There were many fun activities to do here and I tried a new recipe and had a great morning watching the sunrise.

I agree its a beautiful place to camp. Unfortunately my family camped there at the far end towards the railway station and were almost robbed by thieves who would normally rob and escape by train. There was a security guard placed there who could do nothing but run away while these guys broke into one of those chalets with a old couple living there. The lady screamed for help while they were assaulting her. Fortunately some of my family members were outside the camp and they intervened and chased them away. The police were called and said this was happening frequently. Avoid camping towards the end.
