    I have to disagree with Caesar calling Antony his best general. Labienus was always his second-in-command and the only one he trusted with his armies while he was away. He seemed to think that the final battle of the civil war he fought against Labienus was even tougher than his fight against Pompey. He famously said that it was the first time he had fought for his life instead of victory.

    • @shadowfragment
      @shadowfragment ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@titisuteu I think there are two primary reasons for Labienus turning against Cesar. First, Labienus was a believer in the Republic. Whatever his relationship with Cesar, his loyalty was ultimately to Rome and he felt that Cesar's actions crossed a line that should not be crossed/that he could not follow him over that line. Second, he probably didn't believe Cesar could win. Cesar was a proven general and leader already, but he faced larger and richer forces. At the time, his victory seemed unlikely. Following a traitor who fails to overthrow the senate is political suicide (and potentially actual suicide).

I had to practice a lot to keep up and do justice to their music. It takes a lot of effort to get it to give it a to achieve a reasonable result. So one story I asked for was a HP Lovecraft type story in the Style and language of Geoffrey Chaucer after a few efforts it managed to give me a reasonable result; but only after significant intervention from me.

    My understanding is: these AI are simply analyzing text from the library to which it has access and coming up with the best proximal answers it can. It has no concept of "lying", only a concept of confidence variables that its responses are sound, based on the information analyzed. This causes it to "hallucinate" or "make up" notions, but the code itself isn't malicious. This isn't to say that someone never will write code that will actively choose to regurgitate answers that it actively believes are not the best answer, because other answers have higher confidence variables, which is the best conception I can come up with for what it would mean for a bot to "lie". Just that those would be different bots, with different levels of genuineness.

    Elizabeth I most certainly did not come to the throne 4 years after her fathers death. Her brother Edward alone ruled longer than that. He was King for 6 and 1/2 years before dying from an unknown condition, often reported as being either tuberculosis, pneumonia, or a lung tumour.
    He is then replaced by Lady Jane Grey, who rules as Queen for 9 days before having her throne userped by Mary. She is imprisoned for a while before she dies by having her head seperated from her body, which usually does the trick.
    Then Mary reigns for 5 and 1/2 years before she dies, probably of uterine or ovarian cancer.
    Only then does Elizabeth accede to the throne, where she rules for 44 and 1/2 years before dying of blood poisoning on the 24th March 1603, thus bringing to an end the Tudor dynasty and the begining of Stuart rule in England.
