I love this feature! I tested various voices and languages and some combinations were funny: it sounds hilarious, when you choose Swiss German language and forget to change the text from English to German. Anyway, I tried the third option, uploading my own voice and using my photo. This works really well, and it even worked fine, when I used a portrait that I generated with sketch genius. Thank you so much, Ronny, for this video. As most of your videos, it is helpful, and I can apply it for my work. By now, I blocked 3-4 hours per week, to test new AI features and tools. Else, it would interfere with my regular work....

This feature is pretty cool, I was surprised at how many languages with different accents for each there were. It is quite extensive. I still think the avatars look pretty artificial when talking but then again maybe it's because I already knew it wasn't real.

Great tutorial! When you share your presentation that contains an AI presenter with others, I assume that feature only works if you share the presentation as a website (e.g. as a Canva website)? If you shared it as a PDF download, the AI presenter feature wouldn't play, right?

Hi Ronny, Tutorial is fantastic as usual and you always make me learn new topics. Talking about the Tool, to be honest I didn't like none of the result: 1) The first one had a very strange accent and that "belooow" was awful ! 2) Loving the intro of the original Diana, the same sentence said by the AI Presenter was more than awful :)) 3) In The third experiment, the AI Ronny Presenter was so strange, it didn't sound like you even with your voice, and looked so strange ! So, thumbs up for a real video recorded in a traditional way ! That's my personal opinion, obviously Anyway Canva is showing a real desire to push itself every day ! Thank you!

On the website of D-ID, it mentions that with the free subscription, a watermark across the full video is present. So that makes it fun to play with but not usable for anything serious.

Some of these generations seemed to use up more than 1 credit. Plus the least expensive subscription for $5.99 does not give you commercial usage. You have to upgrade to the plan for $49/mo to get any decent usage out of this.
I've used the D-ID integration in Canva and successfully created a presenter video, however, when I tried uploading it to Instagram it would not accept it. Possibly because the video once downloaded was watermarked throughout.

We use a combination of QuickTime Player to record our screen and OBS to record our talking head + Premiere Pro to edit.

You are right about the number of credit used (when used directly via D-ID platform). When used via Canva it seems to be: 1 video costs 1 credit.

I was using the free plan. I did that recording of my voice separately and simply uploaded it to D-ID. No need for a paid plan to do that.
