Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) Goes Fishing

A Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) goes fishing at the edge of a small pond. These Herons can stand almost motionless for a very long time before they finally nab their prey; but, fortunately for this video it actually moves quite a bit, showing off its fantastic feet before eventually succeeding at capturing what looks, based on a fleeting glimpse, to be a Bluegill (Lepomis macrochirus). So, if you've got about two minutes to spare (actually, 1 minute and 49 seconds), sit back, relax and watch a Great Blue do its thing.
