So the beefstorm won me the tournament tonight guys. It is more of a casual seen so it wasn't the full power deck you showed but it won. Thanks for the videos guys hope the keep on coming.
well it is not like it's super fast and/or consistent as it is a niche strategy. But the way it was put together was to be able to face more powerfull pods and pull through. But it doesn't mean you can have always good results ofc, specially when people get to know how the deck functions :) But we're glad you enjoyed nonetheless and tried it out! Thank you!

I got realy hyped up as Sequira cast Sadistic Sacrament, I love how certain decks simply can't win without a couple of cards. There should be more hate like that out there perhaps. 3:32 #Giveaway

Yeah, well Baal was getting the pieces he needed for a big turn. The survival of Combat Celebrant meant he could have 2 attack steps in the next turn and he wanted to try to win by then, so he needed to force the rift, even if it meant blowing up the lands and slowly building up from there.
Preferred to try to reach a second land in 2 draws (and if it was white one I could simply get Land Tax) rather than Mulligan down to 5! xD sometimes you just gotta believe! Not to mention if I'd have a similar start to other people I would have all eyes on me for explosiveness, this way I could go a little bit under the radar xD

Episode #23 was his debut. and then this #32 second time David wanted to give him another try as he really enjoyed the deck. But he's willing to make him justice still, so you will see him again eventually ;)
@@mikestephens267 no, I'm talking about his turn 6. He main phases the rift off the mana drain. Then, after it resolves, he uses the talisman. So he ends his turn with the talisman on the battlefield under Baal's control with 2 wish counters on it. What I'm wondering is why didn't he use the talisman first and *then* cast rift with talisman under Baal's control so that he bounces it back to his hand, denying an opponent a use of it and essentially getting himself a free demonic tutor! It had to just be a misplay, right? But Sequiera didn't refer to it as such so I'm curious if it was just missed or what?

It was not in Baal's endstep, it was still in the same step as Keldon Firebombers resolved. Sequeira had floated mana with the lands he sacrificed, it is represented in the top left corner: 5 red mana. And without Blood Moon he had now access to the other lands to pay for the necessary colored pips :)
How could you keep that hand Baal? If you're going to keep a 1 land hand with no ramp at least make sure you have both your colors so you can cast enlightened tutor.
Baal didn't want to mull to 5 and he still had 2 draws to get a second mana source. If that would be a white mana source it would provide him tutor for land tax. If it was non-white it could still let him play, albeit slow.
He floated mana at 13:02 before the Keldon Firebombers trigger resolved. And then Baal tried to move phases so the mana would be emptied, that's when he fired his Rift. :)

I think there's a mistake when Pedro overloads the Rift... you sacrificed the spellbomb to kill Thrasios but spellbomb does only 2 damage and Thrasios is a 1/3... is there something I'm not seeing here? anyway ggs
OOPS I don't know what happened but I guess I'm so used to Tymna pairing up with Thrasios that I did a Sequeira's Dyslexic move and put up Tymna instead of Thrasios in the opening hands! Don't mind it! xD

Not that it mattered too much, but I'm pretty sure with blood moon out everyone's lands would enter untapped even with archon out as blood moon removes the nonbasic land type and replaces it with basic mountain. Anyways it was a great game guys!
Blood moon only affects the land's subtype, changing it to Mountain. The supertype remains Nonbasic therefore they enter untapped. You can check the gatherer rulling: 8/7/2020 This effect doesn’t affect names or supertypes. It won’t turn any land into a basic land or remove the legendary supertype from a legendary land, and the lands won’t be named “Mountain.”

The mulligan screen shows Pedro is running Tymna rather than Thrasios. I thought he had blue card in a deck without a blue commander haha

You missed the 2 -1/-1 counters on him of the infect block, but it was some turns ago so easy to miss

I was wondering why it wasn't Tymna & Thrasios to begin with... Tymna also gains life, though not as much as Ikra, and draws cards on top of it.
