Great job
Thanks for sharing
I have been buying vases at garage sales and have quite a stash. You’re video is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for sharing. Billy also has helped take some of the fear factor away regarding working with resin. I am going to use your link for resin today. Thank you both for sharing. Beautiful work!
Thank you. I think you will love the resin!
My favorite video of yours yet Gina!! I have a round disk sander, I used to wait and fix drips as well, but BAM all done in 30 seconds . Much easier and clean smooth finish on the tops.
Thanks! I need to see what that looks like. I bought a little Dremel and I do not have a soft enough touch to use it
@@archangelartstudio9764 google black and Decker round disk sander. I've used the 220 and the 60 grits, makes no difference for me.
Very beautiful, and so is the vase. ;) Nice work, and explained very nicely. Thank you.
Thanks
hi Gina I love the colors awesome job
Thanks
Wow, these vases are impressive, you and Billy are very talented, I look forward to your videos. Thanks Gina
Thank you
The vase is beautiful. I like all the vases. I watched last night on my phone but finally fell asleep at the end, so I'm commenting now. 💗💗💗
Thanks
hi Gina I really love how the vases turn out tfs
Thank you
Thanks!! I like your straightforward teaching style!
Even though I wipe the top of the face with a stick… I still seem to get rips… Any suggestions on the prevention and on removing the resin drips from the bases?
😊
The only thing I can tell you is patience. I have to set my vase upside down and wipe it the drips that is for hours. I always find something else to do and then walk back over and take a stick and wipe it. I still sometimes end up with drips and I just leave them it adds to the one of a kind look.
Last question...how do you do touch up resin? Thanks!
Your vases are beautiful! And the video is great, very informational. I do have one question. How much resin do you prepare when finishing a vase of this size?
Thank you. 3 ounces is what I use and I might even be able to use only 2
Thank you! Look forward to more of your videos. @@archangelartstudio9764
Like you, when I was growing up, redheads were horribly bullied, my mother was a redhead, but I was fortunate enough to have dark hair, although I'm very fair! I always hoped that my children wouldn't have red hair, knowing what mom went through, but of course, I married a "strawberry blonde", so my youngest son is a "Ginger" (as a toddler, I swear it glowed during the day) as they are referred to here in Canada nowadays, though thankfully he is getting darker as he gets older. The weird thing is, and maybe it's different geographically, he doesn't get teased at all, and never did, if anything, the girls seem to like it (although he's only 13), and weirder yet, my oldest son's friend's and girlfriends always loved it too. I couldn't tell you how many girls, and women I've had say that they hope that their babies have hair like his! Maybe it's different for boys too, like you though, all the money in the world, couldn't make me go back to that hellhole we called school, I may not have had red hair but I wore glasses and braces, and loved to read, not conducive to having many friends, also very different today, both my son's are "smart kids," but that's also cool these days!
I'm very happy to be a redhead now but it was rough in school. I still to this day 40 years later remember some of the taunts. It got better when I got into High School but in elementary and middle school it was murder. But it made me tough so... LOL. I swear I would be home schooled if I was in school now. Kids are viscous and brutal.
Hi... it was lovely.... is there any other option for floetral as I find it very expensive.....😐.... and I even wanted to know can we do a pour inside the vase and resin on inside after the pour dries....
You can skip the Floetrol and just use another 1.5 ounces of Glueall I would think. I've never tried doing the inside so I don't know how that would turn out. If you do one let me know i would love to see if and know how it went
Ya sure.... I have done with glue n gliter pour with out resin inside glass bottles....it turned out very good.... I have posted it in instagram my account is cats_and_painting ....😊
I'm sorry I don't know the answer to this question and I feel that it is obvious but when you mix your pouring medium with paint what is the ratio of paint to medium. Thanks . I really enjoyed your video
Here is what I use to make a small batch
5.5 ounces of Glueall
1.5 ounces of Floetrol
.5 ounces of distilled water
.5 ounces of Liquitex flow aid
I haven't figured out what that ratio is and it's too early in the morning right now for me to do the math lol. I can also share a recipe for when I do a gallon if you would like
@@archangelartstudio9764 thanks
@@deloresshaw3820 You can mix as much color as you want. Some I want lighter so use less and some darker and use more paint. Start with a small amount and add until you like it.
How do you fix a hole in your resin? Is there any prepping? I have two vases that have spots. Thank you in advance.
I just mix a little resin and let it start to set. The I take a gloved finger dip it in the resin and dab it on the spot with no resin. I may hit it with a torch to smooth it out a bit.
Where you get that black drip tray? And the rack
You can get the tub at Home Depot or Lowe's hardware. It's a concrete mixing tub. The rack is a extra large oven rack that I got probably from Amazon.
What did you mix the resin with?
I mixed some glitter in the resin
@@archangelartstudio9764 so all you put in the resin is glitter and paint, how much resin to how much paint?
I really have no idea. I mix the resin according to manufacturer directions but I don't know how much I used. Likewise with the paint I just pour it in till I get the color I want.
What the hell are you doing "arting" at 5am gurl? Not that I'm one to talk, having been a lifelong insomniac, I'm often just getting to sleep at that time!
I feel u on the insomnia! I have to take Belsomra to sleep and I decided to cut my dosage in half like an idiot so I had a couple days that I was up at 3 and 4 in the morning. That won't be happening again LOL.

I've been on every sedative and sleep aid known to modern medicine, and many drugs that are for off the wall stuff, but cause drowsiness, all they ever did was make me lethargic during the day. About a year ago, I stopped taking all of them, and good news is, I feel much better during the day, but I stump all doctor's when I tell them (and even bought a fitbit to track and prove it) that I live on 2-3 hours a day, usually broken into two catnaps. Once a week, I take a Zopiclone, and that gets me about 6 hours, but if I take it every night it stops working. I have to admit, being awake this much can be hard on the head at times, but TH-cam and my crafts help, a lot!! Love the vases, BTW, and I agree that resin is the nicest sealer, if you want gloss, it makes just about everything, look amazing!
@@quietinspirationcreations3448 yes I hate the day grogginess but I just cannot function on 2 hours of sleep. I have to deal with the public all day on my job and that is hard enough with 6 hours lol. I'm fortunate enough that I can work from home so on my long lunch break I try to grab a power nap to get through the rest of the day. But like you my crafts help a lot on the days when I wake up before the chickens!
