makes me miss my 84 econoline. she was bad to the bone. had the 460 completely rebuilt by a local professional racer, tossed some headers into it and lit the road up. Everyone knew my van and loved to race me. sometimes we'd win but even when we didn't people were still stoked that they got to race "Junkyard dog" One of these days i'll build a new one. FASTER, STRONGER!

I feel so much better about the multiple times I got fluid all over the floor. At least I’m not the only one busting my bump cleaning it all up… lol.

An option is removing the passenger seat and taking the motor out from the doghouse cover. Done it a few times it’s not bad

I just replaced the fuel tank and the fuel pump and injectors on my 454 TBI I couldn't get it to run right and it ended up being the timing but one thing is said every little thing I did made it run just a little bit better so the fuel pump worked but it was weak and I want to put the new one in I could tell an instant difference. Same thing with the injectors . Now the only problem I have is you can watch the gas gauge go from full to empty pretty quick so you got to be light-footed even though you want a romp on it now and then.

Drain all the fluid best u can before pulling there are drainage plugs in the side of an engine block that can be drained as well cause even with draining radiators an hoses block still holds lots of water just have to pull them plugs on the side of the engine an drain as well

I am in the process with replacing my engine on my 1979 G30 Pathfinder 4x4 Van (2nd one). I just remove the chain and hook on the end of the picker and bolt the chains to the picker. Gives you a bit more room to pull / replace the engine.
Don't be afraid of the EFI. I swapped my 71 Chevelle and 71 Nova with LS1's. I just printed out the wiring diagram, studied the pin outs of the ECM. Then ripped apart the wiring harness and just put it back together. I then understood much more about what it takes to make the EFI work.
I was going to put in a LSx into the Van, but the right side exhaust manifold it a problem. The Pathfinder re-enforced the frame and I don''t care to mess with cutting to make room for the exhaust manifold. (live in California and got to deal with smog). I saw what you guys did when you did your LSx / G20 swap.
    keep the videos coming !

I never did an engine swap on a TBI Chevy or converted one or anything but for 7 years I had a 1993 GMC Sonoma that had TBI and that was the best vehicle I've ever owned. It was a 25 year old pickup but it didn't need anything a vehicle that old wouldn't need anyway. I kinda regret selling it.

Best bet is using an engine lift plate . Bolts down to the manifolds carb/tbi bolt pattern.

Justin, it would not be difficult to simply lay plastic on a top and then layer fiberglass and epoxy to build a brand new low cost high top. If you haven't worked with glass I can explain what to do. Basically building a boat hull from a mold... And I'm with you on 38 Special... Saw them in concert once. Funny enough, Axl Rose was in one of my dad's platoons when he was a company commander in Germany in the late 80's.

I know that may sound backwards and even racist to some, but the people that live here enjoy their peace and quite and they've paid handsomely for it. Harley riders are accepted due to the money they spend, as long as they don't get crazy.
