I worked as one of his cadet equipment managers for a couple years, he is one of the greatest guys in the world. Loves his job, his cadets and his players!
As an AT student im so glad youre showing more training rooms. And funnily enough his circumstances that got him into equipment management is almost exactly how i got into sports med, brought be chills.
grew up an Air Force brat and did a stint of my own ( Pop was enlisted and did 30 years) and my Pop got stationed at the Academy back in the 70s. My family got to live and experience so many great people and places around the world but our most treasured station was the Academy. Great friends and great place. I would LOVE his job !!! Fly Flacons Fly !!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing this !!!!
I remember a television show episode BYU did where they setup at Air Force and how they said the locker rooms were old. This was probably 10+ yrs ago so it’s cool to see the academy get an upgrade. And Dan is dope! Thanks for sharing
I went to a hockey camp at the Air Force Base and we got a tour of the football section of the base! It’s really cool, and I think it’s a great program!
I’d be so grateful for the package. My dads a USAFA grad, Ive moved 11 times and I just want to support. I jumped when I saw this under my subscriptions.
As a USAFA grad I can vouch for the quality of the athletic facilities there. Second to none. I wasn't a football player, though; I was a varsity fencer.
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing the whole experience. I think the guy just needs to be in the weight room a little bit more. He seems like. Such a nice guy. Glad he got the job many years ago. You seems right for it. He's got a lot of collectible stuff.
must be rewarding to serve the serve members going in to the air force and see the jobs they are doing! I seen all the coins that tradition. Also the blue AF with the new hap arnold is badass!
They play for their respective sports and then after they finish with college they serve in the military unless they are good enough to make it in the nfl, nba, etc so then I think they serve when they are done with their professional job
Military academies do their recruiting just like any other D-1 colleges, however athletes are less likely to commit to a military academy because they will most likely have to serve a certain amount of years in the military after graduation. However, if they play well enough in the academy to get drafted to play the sport professionally such as to the NFL, they have the option to defer their required military service and become a member of the reserve to play the sport professionally.
I always route for the service teams thinking with so much discipline they should be de la salle of college. Also put a hanger over the stands! If not used to it it's a different uv ray that almost killed me in 3rd quarter
I am a die heart football Air Force fan. I wanna go to the Air Force and be a kicker there. I been trying to find swag to rep because I really want to go but I can’t find any. I also love you videos man. It cool how you make videos on the back end of all the football teams. I follow you on Instagram and I’m really hoping I win this because I want to rep the Air Force!!!
How things have changed since the late "60's football campaigns. The facilities have improved to the level deserved by a quality football program. Artus "Smitty" Smith was our equipment guy. I think it would be impossible for any university football program to beat the people who support the Falcons' effort on the field. 'Bolts' from 1969
Great videos as always so cool to see stuff you could never see unless involved with the team keep up the great work players coaches trainers managers all make a team 💪🏻
How does the Air Force football academy compare to the Army football facility? Check it out ⬇️

When he said “then San Diego Chargers,” I felt that.
Brandon’s World They will always be the San Diego Chargers in my heart.
Not an Air Force fan but this is probably my favorite episode. You can tell that he takes pride in his job and is genuinely happy doing it.
Why aren't you an Air Force fan?
You're a loser for not being an Air Force fan 🙄

For the past year or so Navy completely redid their athletic center and it not completely done yet so it might be awhile
Would still have to do the Coast Guard. They have an academy, surprisingly.

Another great episode keep up the good work
This helps for me because it helps me choose what schools programs I want to go to
Lego Mocs you think you’re gonna get a D1 scholarship?
Can someone explain to me how you can become a D-1 athlete and play for the military. I’m genuinely confused on the process
They play for their respective sports and then after they finish with college they serve in the military unless they are good enough to make it in the nfl, nba, etc so then I think they serve when they are done with their professional job
Mercidi Nsiku i think that they serve in the military no matter what after college and then can play professionally after
Military academies do their recruiting just like any other D-1 colleges, however athletes are less likely to commit to a military academy because they will most likely have to serve a certain amount of years in the military after graduation. However, if they play well enough in the academy to get drafted to play the sport professionally such as to the NFL, they have the option to defer their required military service and become a member of the reserve to play the sport professionally.
@@mercnsiku15 So what happens if one chooses not to do service?
