    Really love the drafting from brad here. Planning on the future rotation knowing that keeping brown, Tatum, and white long term will be very expensive. Imo those are the 3 most important guys for the franchise the next decade. Drafting older stronger guys that want to win and can fill a role is exactly what they needed to do.

    Both of these guys show good skills and experience that could get them playing time sooner rather than later and certainly make for competition in camp that will challenge Sam and X especially. Also they bring in some skills that even the starters might learn from, specifically Scheierman's ability to make threes off the dribble.
    Good picks by Brad!

    There’s an article from early May about Watson being the “skeleton key” of this draft. It’s on noceilings and made me think, “Brad got his exact style of player he loves- versatile team player.”
    The article said he can defend in drop or switch, shoots the 3, and can bang down low. The article made a query about players with his offensive abilities, ball handling, and defensive rating, and it will show you some of the best college players of all time.
    Summer league is going to be much more fun than I anticipated.

      Also, the guy went from 4pts as a freshman to 14.5 as a senior on 41% 3PT shooting. He knows how to grow.

    Sam Vecenie had Baylor in predraft going over some tape. I like the guy. Vecenie says all good shooters are good golfers turns out Baylor played golf in high school. Then when asked what his handicap is he said 13, which is an honesty I find admirable ☘️

    Really pumped to see these guys play in Portland. Thinking about snagging season tickets.

    Ceilings:
    Baylor- future back up PG. displaces PP in the top 8.
    Anton- future situational big. Replaces tillman. Will be top 11-ish. Will be the big of the garbage time 5.

      Baylor is not a pg, more like another back up wing

    • @TheRobversion1
      @TheRobversion1 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@MicRi93 then let me rephrase: he a future backup point-forward. he has wing size but absolute point forward skill. i used backup pg as once he grows and develops, thats the role he'll most likely take with the bench guys (he is a better passer than PP from what i've seen. the guy is very good at making reads and is a connector).
      if PP is ever traded away or walks, he'll be the one to assume his role and we're going to have a tall "backup pg."

      I’d actually like to see him as a 6’6 combo guard
      Basically a slightly bigger Jrue and White

      @@kdia62 thats fine. that's close to how i see him too.

    Neemy just has upside, he’s huge, mobile, it’s just his discipline which can be worked on

    • @TheRobversion1
      @TheRobversion1 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      agreed. needs a 3 point shot though to be more than just a regular season big in this 5 out system.

      @@TheRobversion1 absolutely. I’ve seen some clips of his shot and it’s not ugly form. He just needs reps hopefully 🤞

      @@mathewsousa3915 thats and guarding in space should be the 2 main things he works on this offseason if he wants to be more than a regular season big.
      otherwise, we will look outside once Al retires.

    I can see the future bench being:
    Schierman - Sg/Pg
    Walsh -Sg/ Sf
    Anton - PF/C
    Neemy - C
    I think sheirman can develop into a passable nba defender. Walsh, Neemy, and Anton can become high level defensive talent. And i think Walsh and Anton can develop to have great NBA 3pt shots

    • @TheRobversion1
      @TheRobversion1 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'd add sam there to round out that bench 5. Neemy needs to develop a 3 point shot. i can see baylor taking over from PPs role and PP is traded down the line to minimize expense/being mismatch hunted.

  • @mathewsousa3915
    @mathewsousa3915 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Svi is versatile, in charlotte he was creating but we haven’t seen it much. Sheirman might be better tho

    • @TheRobversion1
      @TheRobversion1 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yeah svi flashed pg skills in charlotte but it wasnt required of him here with pp, jrue, d.white, jd and the Js all being on the floor with him. I'd also say baylor is a better point-wing than svi. better than pp too. better than JB as well.
      the guy has passing chops that will just continue developing in the nba. the guy knows how to make quick reads, moves the ball and has the handle not to worry about ball security.
