The best version ever revealing the real beauty and melancholy of the lyrics.
And I am so impressed by Eva’s ability to deliver this vocal marvel while playing a complex guitar arrangement of her own.
R.I.P. Eva, you will forever be remembered.

Thank you for this analysis Collena. i second everything Eric has said. Such a tragedy to have lost this phenominal talent.

This is the best version I have heard of this song. I love your description of her delivery - "honest." Sums it up perfectly.

Thank you, Mark! 😊 I’m so glad you enjoyed this version as much as I did. Her delivery really is something special-so raw and genuine.

Yes, somewhere over the rainbow Eva keeps singing, where there aren't troubles to make dreams come true, I trust it. Apart from your enriching vocal analysis of her, this was one of your most emotional analyses, congratulations and thank you Collena. 😊👋

Did you know that Eva had a cold during that performance, hence the little crack at the end. She didn't want it released because of it. Only perfect was good enough for her.

Hey Phil! I did hear that slight crack at the end, and honestly, I sometimes think vocal imperfections can become perfection when they happen at the right moments. That crack added so much raw emotion to the performance-it was perfection to me.
Interestingly, I’ve come across singers who actually prefer the sound of their voices when they have a cold or are slightly fatigued. Some enjoy the huskier tone it brings, while others find that the slight swelling of the vocal cords gives their voice a fuller, richer sound. This is because swollen vocal cords have more mass, which can slow their vibration and create a warmer, more resonant tone. This effect can be especially noticeable for singers with lighter, higher voices, as the added mass gives their tone more depth and weight.
It’s fascinating how unique and adaptable the voice can be! 😀

Small side note that may not have much significance outside of Washington DC. She had been collaborating with THE DC Music Icon, The Godfather of DC's Go-go Music, Chuck Brown. Just another testament to her musicianship. And remember ... she was at the very same time playing the guitar perfectly ... it was singing too. Thank you for a lovely review. Please listen to her version of Fields of Gold ... I challenge you to not cry

Why don’t you always look at the wrong version of Dimash’s songs?
Made a mistake in the song “adagio”, and Unforgettable day! In the song An Unforgettable Day according to the version from Gokku, Dimash plays the note R8!!! Next time, look at us carefully and in some reactions you need to close the screen so that TH-cam is not deleted due to copyright!

Hi, I just came across your channel by chance. I would like to recommend you to react to a live song called 'Our Love' sung by JJ Lin half-year ago during his concert held in Tokyo. JJ Lin is a very popular Mandarin Pop singer-songwriter from Singapore and he is widely known as amongst the best in the industry. Thanks.
