I've just done some in compost and you're probably right about the timing I've done it late Summer too will try some in Spring, will also try some in water.

A narrow bottle necked glass would be better and keep on a windowsill indoors. I've done this and all the cuttings rooted successfully with Jasmine polyanthum.

Eventhough one only developed roots, still this is a successful water propagation. Thumbs up for this
Jasmine is known for it's smell and used to decorate the hair in south India esp for weddings- I think it looks quite pretty

I think if you add oxygen and hydrogen peroxide you’ll have almost 100 percent success. Looks like fungus got you!
