Dr. Karki had recently moved back to Biratnagar from Russia in early 90s I think. We were in high school. He loved playing cricket and would buy cricket kits and get all kids in the neighborhood to play with him. He enjoyed batting and funny enough, would not accept any LBW decisions. He was an inspiration to all of the neighborhood kids . I don’t know if he remembers all that. Enjoyed listening to him after so many years. I haven’t seen him in almost 30 years.

I used to be the umpire for the matches you all played in the field. He remembers it very well. Despite having knee issues he still thoroughly enjoying playing sports specially cricket and basketball with the medical students at college.

You could have stopped him when he spewed words like "bhaiyaa" not just once but multiple times, you could have fact checked him multiple times e.g where he knowingly/unknowingly proclaimed Russia to be the leading nobel laureates when it doesn't even come closer. Nonetheless, the episode felt more like that of GMSK self proclamation all along without anyone able or willing to correct.

Anyway he's Dr.Gyanendra man singh karki, Chairman of Birat Medical College. Dude bragged about making an institution larger than Bir Hospital in 10 years. Clearly he's a good capitalist. But i hope that general public realize these are kind of people Gobinda KC is up against. These people are capitalistic to the core and will exploit both patients and service providers. Fortunately GKCs struggle has had a significant impact in curbing the ambitions of capitalists like these.
