You are becoming quite a videographer, your music selection is amazing and makes for just awesome content. I could easily kick back and watch an hours worth of your content, in fact I do. Over and over
I was a rental dweller forever and when the slumlord wouldn't fix I bought a travel trailer. All the bad rap about trailer parks are about 75% true, but not all. I looked and looked and found a peaceful clean quiet park. I LOVE my home. It's mine and I am very proud of what I have done, at 64. People take for granted they can get a home, or rent a home.
Well, when you come to the states we do have plenty of Casinos on tribal lands and some do have the amenities of an RV park including power, water, dump stations, laundromats and attached convenience stores. Some also don't have all that but do allow you to park in their lots. The pacific northwest tends to have better travel weather whereas places like Montana, Idaho and more inland places will be very icy and snowy. But you love to snowboard so maybe do some of that at Big Sky in Montana! 😊Just fyi. Safe travels young man!
I’m sounding like a broken record. Your videos are top notch. The picture quality and content structure just keep getting better. Way to represent Canada and this lifestyle.
Hi Kevin! Another beautiful location you took us to. Thanks for the information about where to stay/park along the way. See you in your next adventure! Peace out! Christian K.
I have camped in rest areas, both in a travel trailer and in a "topper" on the bed of my pickup. No problems what-so-ever (in the U.S.). One annoyance: semi-trucks parking next to you and leaving their engines running all night! Have you thought about heading to eastern Canada? The maritime provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island?
omg YES I parked in golden bc over night on a street and a semi pulled up behind me ad didn't shut off all night, I should of left but instead just had the worst sleep ever, would love to head east and check out the east coast!!!
Great video. I am wondering where to go in case my sister and I end up in the car with nowhere to go... I love watching these videos how to live in your vehicle and where to go for the night. This helped a lot. Thank you
NYS has Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) campgrounds. Other states may have them. Some are tents only, others are RVs or a mixture. Still others have cabin rentals. Web sites are available for reservations ahead of time. Camping has been a lifelong deal in my family. Pull behind camper camping for 3 summers in a row as a child was definitely most memorable!
What you are saying about the apps and people overcrowding them makes me think about when I travel and look for places to eat . So many people go like sheep and do crazy stuff like put up with lines and overworked and long gone good service because the list in the app says this is the best place to eat. I like to find my own spots. Like you. Happy trails
Just so you know BC has 1350 Rec Sites and 800 trailheads. Go to the BC Rec site ,site. They are listed either by the map or alphabetically. BC provincial campgrounds is a whole mother collection of places to stay in season.
Hi Kevin 👋 I just want to say I have never parked at the side of the road or Stealth parked I prefer the deserts and forest and casually parking in a Walmart or casino parking lot for one night only. I love nature.
I would suggest a car dealership. There is always random vehicle there overnight and in for service. If you come in late and leave before they open, you will be good. Speaking from experience working at car dealership for 30 years.
Another great video Kevin. Very informative. We literally drove past that spot today, on our eagle/turkey/owl drive lol, but didn't see you dammit 😂 Bad timing. One day hubby and i will get a chance to see you in person and we'll share a few of our favorite spots with you. 😊 Really love your channel!
Hi Kevin. Agree that BC's free recreation areas are awesome! The apps are useful to a degree...but they're not the bible...😅. Hope your travels to the US go smoothly. Take that respectfulness and your natural charm & courtesy with you and you'll be fine! If you ever venture to eastern Canada, be sure to give us a heads up. I'm in NS and can share some useful info about spots down here. Safe travels!
Best advice you gave regarding roads in winter to recreation sites! I’ve check a few out like Ridley Lake rec site prior to getting my NL 10-2 to see how road is for possible winter site. Got that feeling as you said when you know it’s time to turn around it’s time! Just tough finding spots to turn around and very happy I did not have the camper on my truck ! I’ll stick to the ones close to roads as you say . Look forward to your South adventures. Mount St Helen’s would be a good one to hike if you are able to 👍
It's great to wake up with marvelous outstanding views....plus clean air it's cold.🥶☃️do camping offer month stay l bet not some place are so strict.....enjoyed the video keep up the fantastic job...🍰🍧⛄️👋
Love your channel! Watched you make the cake last week. After seeing how easy it was I went out bought the same stuff you did and made a cake mmm so good. Didn’t have the raisins though I feel like I missed out so next time I’m adding raisins lol. Cheers!
Hiya Kevin, great advice as always if you live out there mate. Great views as well ❤️🩹, with the snow. I can't wait to see you on the next video. Be good, and don't fall down any hole's. ❤X X X 💓
Where are you going when you come to the states? Washington where I live is really beautiful and camping all over Washington and Oregon is beautiful too! I’ve lived in Washington my whole life and I still find new spots all the time.
@KevinWaldsAdventures I highly recommend Mount Baker and Mount St Helens also Leavenworth WA or even just the drive on highway 20! Beautiful views on highway 20 and you will get to see Diablo Lake.
If it's 4-6pm & you're tired & need to rest, I see no problem nicely asking a private business owner if it's alright to stay in their parking lot for one night. Bet most would say OK, if you emphasize that you won't leave a mess & you'll be gone early the next morning. So that their employees & customers have a place to park. I'd say yes - being courteous & considerate makes a difference, agree :)
Hey Kevin, I do most of my camping driving from Idaho to the east coast. Although I do camp and fish in Idaho. Most of the time I will stay the night at a rest stop. BLM LAND is also abundant in Idaho. 14 days same as you in the Great White North 😆. WAL-MART Is an occasional for me when traveling. My camper is almost identical to yours , except it's a NORTHSTAR 8.5 ARROW. Specially made for a short bed. Hangs 2.5 feet of the rear. When camping and fishing, I practice CATCH AND RELEASE. Only difference is that I RELEASE INTO THE GREASE. Nothing better than camping with fish taco's for dinner. Although I don't live in my camper, I spend a good amount of time in it in the sp ring and fall. Summers are just to hot unless I'm hooked to power. If that's the case I would just as well go home for the evening. The bride has my camper set up for me with some Tupperware type things for the pantry. Flour, sugar, salt, pepper, etc. I just purchase my meals and go. Chicken and Spanish Rice are a go to for a couple of good meals. I like your videos and keep them coming. Safe travels.
you ever tried camping in victoria? oh man, they're wild about enforcing it here! its like the police and security have nothing else to do. I'm only part time, too. even if you park in places that don't have signs, you'll probably get the boot. However, Canadian tire has been good to people. they just made a gravel parking lot for campers outside of the main one
I have not tried Victoria, some places are definitely an exception to what im saying, ive also heard the east coast in the states is crazy difficult too. that's great Canadian Tire is being good about it!
Victoria is high in the tourism trade and needs to keep an image. check out the rest of the island, there are a scad batch of rec sites all over the island and they are free.
I don't know Kevin. Not only on this video but a couple other videos, you show and talk about staying at a spot that are marked as no camping and you knew it as well. Yet you still did it. Not much for trying to set a good example. I enjoy your other videos though. Safe travels to you.
Was it Eagle Bay you were heading to on Arrows Lake? If so, my Dodge Caravan weighted down did it with no issues... If that ever helps you decide in the future... Though I would question it to around the winter season... Beautiful spot there... I went to check it out... Unfortunately, I had made plans to meet someone at Shelter Bay... I think I might paddle to it in the summer and camp there...
Yes that’s the one! Summer I wouldn’t hesitate doing it, my biggest issue in winter was the ice and hard packed snow. Otherwise I think summer would be perfect! It’s on the list to visit!
Thx for the informative video! I understand Crown Land but what exactly is a BC rec area? Is that a provincial park? In Ontario I use Harvest Hosts to find farms and vineyards and cool places to stay. Have you tried that membership app out your way? Happy travels sir!
@ never does! Plus Bryce, Canyon lands, arches and capital reef. One pass will get you into all of them. Then of course MOAB!! You’ll love all of them.
Love the vids as usual. I watch another YT in the US and Loves gas stations are very popular and with the rewards card, fueling gives points for free showers thus reducing your wanter usage. BLM is also your best option as you mentionned
I just wondered if planet fitness lets people over night? Many overlanders, campers, van lifers, etc. keep a membership for showering opportunities (undoubtedly you already knew)😊❤
Never had a single person be hostile with me, if I was in van I actually think people would be more curious about the lifestyle but most people are thinking I’m just out on a camping trip, kinda am on a permanent camping trip lol. I think most people are nice and if you aren’t a burden on there day they don’t care what I do with my life 😂 kindness and being respectful goes a long way I think.
@@KevinWaldsAdventuresIt's heartwarming that people don't see it as a threat. If i ever buy a house and a yard i will make a spot for travellers with their stories and adventures :) I think i would just need to find a place with a really nice view :)

Was it the Police or neighbors?
I always find that the "stealth" vans aren't that stealthy. LOL.
Great in-depth analysis of overnight parking spots! Nice littlle winter walk.
