I enjoy your videos of all the different neighborhoods. Yesterday I did spend some time in Los Arcos and was wondering what it would be like to live there so I really appreciated this particular one. Hello Steven and Lisa! Thank you for another awesome video. I could live in Calesa. We extended an AirBnb without the third party. I found that the further from centro the less future bookings. I found one that had no future bookings and got a week. I told him of my hunt and I negotiated 10% down from his asking price. But what really got my decision to continue in the AirBnb was no deposit. The other places were at least a month rent for deposit.
You’re absolutely right about most you tubers showing the sexy vacation videos of Mexico. I want to see the day to day. Real life. That’s what you guys do. Thank you. Also, I never see stray dogs. Is that in all the local neighborhoods?
I just found you and I’m loving your videos. I have been living in queretaro for a year and a half and love it for many reasons but I don’t like that there’s hardly any trees here at all except for one neighborhood. I’m wondering why you haven’t mentioned that the weather has changed in the last maybe two or three months it’s been raining really hard almost every night. Every Mexican I talk to here says this is not normal and it’s due to climate change
Glad to hear that. We will make a year living here on 11/4; this is our first rainy season in QRO. We have talked about/ mentioned the rainy season in general in a number of our videos.

@@WhyNotNow We love Merida but not sure if we could handle the heat. I liked Queretero but want to come back and see more of the areas besides Centro. We love CDMX and are going to Puebla to check it out as well. We lived in Ensenada for 15 years and loved the proximity to San Diego. But now looking for a larger city where we don’t need a car.

Thanks Phil. It depends on where we are mindset wise/ if anything better exists at that time. There are a couple of months where it can get pretty hot and it really just depends on the air flow/ window placement within your unit. Some absolutely need a/c for those months while most just have fans/ take advantage of good ventilaton in their units.
Hey a nice video as usual. Our dogs each weigh about 50 lb and need a green patch to go potty. Will we be able to find something like that in El Centro? I mean I don't expect to find dog parks everywhere. Thank you. Take care of yourselfs guys.
It depends Baca Brother. There are some places/ casitas you can rent that once you get behind the "big" gate, you will find they have a little oasis, or some sort of green space BUT most will be much more expensive in the Centro Historico area. There is still NO shortage of dogs there because you hear them barking in Centro all the time and from what we've seen/ been told by locals there, they just adapt to going on the concrete to be frank. We used to wonder how that was possible until our dogs started getting comfortable doing it too (we thought our little guys would NEVER because they are picky but were we surprised 😉). You can find some places that will have something that can work for the dogs (nearby green patch, park, etc.) somewhat outside of Centro though, and it will still within walking distance to the Center. It just takes a lot of footwork/ being on the hunt for rentals.

Yes, there are strays but it's not as prominent in this city in comparison to other towns/ cities from what we've seen.
