It's just that in SNL they are doing it too frequently. the whole point of breaking character is that the sketch is hilarious and they can't hold their laughter. Now, it seems just like bad acting and unprofessional.

No it isn't. It's unprofessional, and gooses easy laughs from the audience that the material can't produce by itself.

And before that, she was too late with getting into the coffin and lying down, so the camera caught the last bit of her going from sitting to lying. Then she forgot to close her eyes and started laughing. I don’t think Amy saw her opened eyes, just that she had to turn her face away to hide her laughter.

Well, you can see she actually lies down in the coffin at the beginning of the scene (obviously the transition was too short), she has her eyes open and freezse, then closes her eyes, then breaks.

J. Rotkaep i rewatched it to check and you are absolutely right, he somehow lays perfectly still it's creepy! all the other cast either breaks or breathes so their chests are moving, but andy has another talent in his sleeve

@@MrDino1953well subjectively speaking, I do not believe that was the funniest part of the sketch. Objectively speaking, op couldn't objectively declare an opinion as objective, so added an element of subjectivity to his opinion, subjective in nature, of what should be objective.

I work at a funeral home and can verify this is how we operate.
The bear ate him but he’s in the casket.
I did call the Four Eyes plot twist, but I did not think he had a partner.
Then the real plot twist came along. Does catching 1/3 of a plot twist counts? I'm still gonna brag about it.
That was an excellent sketch! Loved the cast during this particular season....Amy and Tina (and Rachel Dratch too) were an absolute comedic FORCE!!
