I was wondering if you could put wooden shapes in the corners and 2 shaped wooden bits in the middle top and bottom to cover the gaps and have full view of the inside when it is open. But I love love the piece and the fact that you can use all these tools and do such a fantastic job.

The track will collect dirt easily and the mirrors will roll bumpy.
I'm thinking a small aluminum angle running the length of the center of the track -- laying on it's hypotenuse side.
Then a narrow metal band around the perimeter of the mirrors for a tire that rolls on the track.

Very cool idea, Elisha~! Your own idea/design? My daughter was watching over my shoulder and wants one.
As for your video, I like that you explain your mistake(s) rather than just edit them out like some other makers do. Definitely a help to others, whether experienced or just starting out. I'm not a TH-camr (yet), but I've been woodworking for over 30yrs and could populate a channel purely with outtakes...clips of things not to do during a project~! A big part of my learning process.
    Keep up the great content~!!

I'd suggest the router and a circle jig for the face/MDF cut outs over the hand held jig saw. The out of round circles mar the project. AND you already had the router cutting the mirrored circles so... why no use to get flawless circles in the 'figure 8'?

Please get off your knees when you work! That's what work benches are for. Clamp things to the bench so you can use both hands which will give you better control.....OR better yet, invest in a vice for your work bench. Your design ideas are worthy of you learning better methods of working. one other thing and I blame Norm Abram for this one, as much as I respect his work; There is NO SUCH ACT AS "PRE DRILLING A HOLE"....A hole IS predrilled OR you are drilling a pilot hole!!! ( I was raised by a mother that had a minor in English and insisted we use the language properly. My comments are based on over 55 years as a professional cabinet maker and furniture designer/builder.

You were aiming the pin nailer towards your face, when securing it for the pocket hole screws. At 5:24. I would never do that again. Always away from you. If you can't aim it away, then don't use it. Think of where that pin could go, and what it could do. Scary. All power tools are dangerous. All of them.

Fantastic design and another well made straight forward video. My only negative comment is your hand is to close to the blade when using your chop saw. When it kicks back and explodes and it happens to every body, and you'll be looking at your hands to see if all your fingers are there. I've seen what a saw can do to a human hand, its not pretty. One of the safest people I know had a accident. If it could happen to him it could happen to anybody. I try to teach every body that their is a area around a saw blade that you don't need to have your hand in. Please be safe people.
