The DARK SIDE Of Pallet Flipping - Amazon Returns Unboxing

  • You won't believe what we found in our Amazon returns pallet of mystery items! We picked this particular pallet because it had a lot of smaller mystery packages. MISTAKE! This goes against our normal strategy of picking a pallet with several high-priced items visible on the outside. This Amazon pallet cost us $525, and we hope we can make our money back! To watch our other pallet flipping videos, check out this playlist here: • Pallet Flipping

    Sarah has been following the Facebook group of a pallet liquidator in our area who buys truckloads of Walmart, Target, and Amazon returns and then sells them by the pallet to resellers. Since we love flipping furniture we thought it would be a unique opportunity for us.
    Reselling Amazon returns can be a great side hustle if you know how to list, sell, and ship items on eBay and Facebook. We have learned a lot through experience and hope you find these videos helpful and informative! Return pallet flipping is something we’ve done before, but we wanted to try again to give it a fair chance. Not only is the pallet unboxing fun, but there is a great potential to make a lot of extra money!

    I work at Amazon as a picker, but now as a packer. One thing I watch for in shoe boxes is that they are not used shoes in them, not from customer returns but from pickers or others up the line that may have switched them out and trying to literally walk out with new shoes! It is rare this happens, but I still check each shoe box that comes through before packing it for the customer. If I do find one, I will report it immediately to the manager, give the tote number (the number of the box that the items were picked into and packed out of) so we can trace the item back to at least the picker in question.

I love watching pallet flipping videos but I think that for us regular folks who don't post videos they're probably not worth the hassle. At least with a youtube channel you can also make money off the content even if the pallet turns out to be a dud. If I ever have the motivation to do the social media and youtube thing I totally would flip a pallet but yikes it just looks like so much work! So just a warning about amazon: was selling some mugs from a liquidation store, same exact product as something listed. The original seller then proceeded to try and buy a mug from us, and then accused us of selling fraudulent items on amazon, and now we can’t sell those mugs on amazon even though they were literally still in the box with a barcode linking back to the original listing (so not fake). Just be careful of sellers coming after you on some things.

    Some people are such scammers, and take advantage of the return policies of companies. Not that I’m defending Amazon. The company makes billions, but returning worn shoes for brand new shoes is disgusting. Honest people pay for this ultimately.

    • @peezdoc
      @peezdoc ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Also, people forget that not everything sold on Amazon is owned by Amazon. So when people return used stuff or like in my experience they sent back rocks, yes rocks for a serpentine belt for their car (I sell car parts) it really hurts a small business. I sell on Amazon and have received all types of different stuff in the returns. And Amazon doesn't fight it they just give the money back to the customer. It could ruin a small business

    • @WYTW1DOW3R
      @WYTW1DOW3R ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just shows the dishonest nature of some people. Amazon needs to make a black list and send back their bogus return items in place of their next purchase. 😂😂

    • @AndyPerry1972
      @AndyPerry1972 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't get this. I thought Amazon checked stuff and only issued the refund etc once it was all confirmed legit. I mean I know they make billions but how much must they be losing if they are not even bothered to check returns? Even if it was just to send the message back to stop these undesirables from taking the p155! As much as I have had my arguments and disagreements with Amazon, they certainly have one of the best returns policies.

    • @peezdoc
      @peezdoc ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AndyPerry1972 in the case that I was saying, Amazon doesn't check returns. Most stuff sold on Amazon is from small businesses. Amazon doesn't literally have everything, it's just sold on their site and when someone returns something it goes back to the small business and if said business tells Amazon the product is used or damaged they don't care and issue the refund which comes out of the small business Amazon account. Even if I fight it they do a "review" which always comes back as "the customer is always right". So not only do we lose out on the product sale but then we lose money on shipping(because to compete in Amazon you need free shipping) and also paying for the shipping for the return which can be quite costly depending what part of the country you're in. I know some people will say "stop selling your product on Amazon if you can't afford to lose out on returns and shipping multiple times a day" then I'd be out of business because Amazon is killing a huge percentage of small business. Can't live with them, can't live without them. It sucks!!!

    Cool video. I'm wondering how much time goes into reselling, between listing, answering requests, packing, shipping. Does anyone have an idea, for such a pallet, how many hours are needed for this activity?

    I looked in to doing this years ago.
    Back then you had to buy stuff by the trailer load.
    Now I am afraid that most pallet sellers go through the stuff, keep the good items and repack.
    Plus if I did this I would keep everything :)
    It is fun to watch you guys unpack and I'm checking out your eBay.
    I saw a few things I would be intrested in.
    You may double your money on those dog signs, who knows.
    I bet your yard sales are fire!

      Yep, just goes to show that a little bit of ignorance can cost. There was a bit of a theme in their admittedly hot takes in this video. Around me, any tool (that vise grip clamp, or hoe) or project materials (like that fence) would be a quick and easy sale.

    Hi I just found your TH-cam channel and I enjoyed it. I am a disabled veteran senior so I don’t get out very much so do you have a regular site on marketplace and where oh I see your eBay account so I can order that way. Just curious though do you sell stuff straight off of your TH-cam channel ? Anyway thanks and keep it up I think y’all are doing great things. Gary

    Hello fellow Michiganders, I was raised in Battle Creek. Love the channel and the advice, we just bought our first pallet Saturday and are going to start listing tomorrow. A couple of question please. How do you handle for example of you ship a customer an item and they say it doesn’t work when they get it and want their money back? Do you do refunds? Do you have insurance on everything you ship and file the insurance? Do you put on your listings everything is as is? Thank you so much, God Bless

    12:27 hello I seen where you pulled out a couple objects it looks like some door holder put under your door keep it open that's what it looks like the number of it is above 12:27 on the clock of the opening stuff I think it is what I think it is it's something to keep your door open so you can grab a big handle plus you have a wedge area for the door

    I don't recommend every pulling the trigger on any "firearm" even airsoft without knowing more about it. Even airlsoft could do some damage if it was jammed, misfeeding, or pointed somewhere you didn't expect. Number 1 rule with weapons, they are always loaded.

    We had someone locally that rented a big warehouse, filled it with bins and then filled the bins with this kind of stuff. Their parking lot is full ALL of the time. Their inventory changes constantly according to what they get in from the truck.
