I’m still here despite all the odds. I love my life and my friends from high school in the 80’s. It was n amazing decade and so many new things were opening our eyes to the bigger world. MTV and the like. Here in Australia I remember the school getter an Apple Computer, and we were doing binary cards for computers. 8 bits to a byte. That is what I believe the symbol means on the Apple devices, one byte taken out 😆 I am nearly 60 in another 2 years, and because I am now able to laugh with and at myself everyday I get complemented that I look so much younger, that’s what chemotherapy does for you 🤣😂🌟

Anyone else feel terribly overwhelmed with sadness that those days are over? I'd honestly give up everything now to go back. Those days weren't perfect by any means but they don't suck balls to the extent they do now. Rip Mr Hollis 😢

Mark Hollis has a haunting voice like no other singer from that era.
Talk Talk doesn't get the attention that The Cure, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, New Order and other British New Wave bands get, but they are absolutely just as legendary.
Well, actually, his voice is very similar to Bryan Ferry's, if you think about it.... ;)

I was 20 years old (US west coast) and listen to this- an insane number of times.
So Lucky to grow up in the 80s
Mark was one of one. I can’t say it any other way. The song no matter how often over the years you hear it. It gets exponentially better each time. I just don’t see myself at 65 thinking I’ll change my mind. It’s been almost 40 years of listening to it. It’s still so good to listen to it.
I'm 65....still love it and always will....

Am 55 - saw them support Duran Duran in 81 in Liverpool - they finished their set and loads around said the best band had gone first!! Class is permanent.

I used to only buy singles in the 70s /80s after I had heard a song a dozen or so times. That's when you knew it was worth buying. I heard this once and got the 7" single. 2 days later I bought the 12" . I didn't think it was good, I thought it was the best tune I had heard in a decade. Thank you mark for being a Genius. 🙏 RIP Sir
