@@yosi1653 Nah poverty is what keeps crime rates up and gap is getting bigger everyday, avoiding certain death overcomes almost any kind of fear of punishment when it comes to normal survival instinct. From mental torment aspect lots of prisons already do "good" job at it.

@@yosi1653I recently saw a documentary about a guy spending 40 years in prison and then got executed. he still didn't regret the double murder and was a bad person. for me that means some people will always be evil no matter the punishment. if you go hard or soft on them only affects your own morality and not them

Torture is not a punishment for any crime, if some one took a life, his life is forfeited etc the death penalties are actually more merciful than Torture

This is really just a metaphor for modern prison systems. It bears mentioning that most people in our prison system are not innocent however.
