Having made game curse filters before I'm guessing they realized ass is in a lot of words (assortment, class, etc) and rather than make a series of exceptions or anything clever they just went "well I guess let's remove it from the filter and hope no one notices"

Why does every elf-adjacent character they make resemble taako? Is taako the mid-point of elf? Is that why all elves look like him?
Taako is the most perfect elf so every other elf is an attempt to reach his likeness
Taako has no visual representation, the only canon is "elf" and "feminine, ethereal beauty," so literally every elf looks like him
Taako is just an incredibly generic elf. Also the human mind is VERY good at going "hey that guy looks like that guy!" which is part of why coffee stains sometimes look like Mickey Mouse.
