No matter what Reed decides, BBN will support his decision!
Reed will always be a Kentucky Favorite. He’s already secured that legacy.
Do what’s right for you and your family, Reed!

Look at the old guys who got off that bus. NBA money will dry up in a decade or so, maybe sooner, but if he becomes a UK legend by coming back, he'll write his ticket in Kentucky for the rest of his life. He'll be 75 one day and getting off another bus as a new coach is introduced.

They recruited Kobe out of high school. One year, two years doesn't matter. if we don't have a big man playing center (can't get by on height alone) and plays that get our best shooter open for shots then none of it matters. The point guard shouldn't be the best shooter on the team and the best players should be starting.. if they foul, sit them for 5 minutes or so and bring in second string.

To say go to the nba because if he stays he might get hurt is wrong to say. Playing 1 year in college and playing in high school he had a chance of getting hurt but you know what he did he worked out and got stronger and better. Stay 1 or even until he is a senior would do more for his legacy as a Kentucky player and give him a few chances to go deep in the tournament and possibly win and what that would do for his legacy and his life going forward out ways the risk of getting hurt. If your scared to get hurt don’t even pick up a basketball. I believe in Reed and I believe in the shepherd family. We need him back at Kentucky next year. He would help this team and fans. College comes and goes to fast. Players should try to enjoy it while they still have a chance to. God could bless him with a championship and if you ask me that would make him a legend in Kentucky FOREVER. Come back to Kentucky Reed. This is me asking from my heart. God will protect you. I believe that in Jesus name Amen!

if he won't shoot then it doesn't matter if he stays or goes. He'll be under a lot of pressure from fans and that might lead to a poor performance and possibly lead to poor health. The NBA is a lot of work and pressure as well so that could lead to the same thing. Unless he and the fans have a bit more leniency on him then he'll be in a difficult position either way. But at least in the NBA or summer league program or out of country program etc he'll have more financial opportunities that he'll have and won't risk to lose that chance. When fans who want him to stay and at the same time are talking trash about him or who will talk trash if he decides to go one and done aren't making anything better. (Like they are already doing to big Z) Sure staying will be a great experience for him but in the end, it's his life.

"Stay 1 or even until he is a senior would do more for his legacy as a Kentucky player," yeah he should forego his career in the NBA to appease a fanbase who didn't even go to the damn school.

With all due respect, Reed has put in blood, sweat, and tears to reach this position? And mind you, he wasn't even close to this last year or back in high school, so taking the risk of being injured was necessary to reach this this lofty goal, he earned this and its time for him see it to fruition Imean, come on! I'd love to see Reed stick around, but let's face it, it's not exactly a realistic expectation. He's got to think about his future, just like you and I do. Frankly, I've been let down one too many times in the past few weeks, so I'm not buying into Mark Pope's sales pitch at the press conference. And that whole thing about getting the crowd all hyped up with hints of Reed's return? It just made him seem desperate, if you ask me. I don't know about you, but if I had the choice between a guaranteed 3-4 million for a year or a whopping 15 million plus for four or five years, I'm not gonna turn that down.

@@authentic_tycoon To play at Kentucky is better than not playing much time in the nba. He may fail if he leaves this year. Let him cook at Kentucky for 4 years and then be a stronger version going into the draft. I see him going first round no matter what year he goes. He would have a better chance of having a successful career in the nba if he stays!

He needs to do whats best for him. If he wants to mature more and continue the experience college so be it. If he wants the fast cash and move on thats ok too. Bottomline is whats truly best for Reed and only REED can make that decision and follow his heart and head. UK fans will support it one way or the other.
Now, my eyes and opinion tells me he needs another year to get stronger, faster, smarter....lets face it...especially the last game he was lost out there. Thats maturity and he will only get better.

Oh, what a brilliant idea the Pope had! Selling us this amazing dream of Reed Shepperd turning down the draft just to play with the esteemed players of Pope's beloved BYU. It's truly off to a fantastic start, don't you think? I mean, I felt so honored and respected when that happened. Clearly, he must have possessed some extraordinary foresight to predict such an event. Otherwise, it seemed as though he was simply willing to say anything to win over the fans. How about he goes and recruits some players who will actually show up? He really dazzled us during the press conference by being so ready to "say" things rather than actually do anything to get people excited. Absolutely magnificent! 😢😢😢😢😢

Well, for those who are not gifted with the ability to decipher hidden meanings, let me break it down for you: Rex, being the honest soul that he is has just given us the truth. As much as Reeds heart may urge him to stay, let's face it, 3 or 4 million for 1 year does not hold a candle to the irresistible allure of a guaranteed multi-year, multi-million dollar contract that comes with being a lottery pick!
And let's not forget why they call it the lottery, folks. By becoming a lottery pick, Reed will be catapulted into a life of everlasting financial security, not only for himself but also for his family and future generations. Turning down an opportunity like that? Well, that's just not something you can do, my friends.😢😢😢
