You forgot one thing. Or it might be probably something you didn't know. If you have a local carrier from Europe you don't have to pay any extra roaming fees if you travel within Europe.

Wow I'm actually heading to Japan for a month in March and I was gonna give this a go. Running my beloved Samsung S10e though, no esim compatibility...
After some googling I've just seen there's a company that actually sells an esim-compatible physical sim card, so you can insert that into an older phone for esim-compatibility. I worry whether or not it'd work with this app tho 🤔

A regional eSIM would work well for you if you’re visiting multiple countries!

Just found this, in the European Union there’s free roaming so you have to enable data roaming but they wont charge you more that if you used it in the country where you bought it. So for Italy, France and Vienna you can use the same sim, for the uk it depends on your carrier, some carriers also add it to theirs free roaming zone or maybe you’ll have to pay more
