@@Jessejames7321 That phrase only works for instances such as when Dan repeatedly mispronounces a name on purpose, they act legitimately interested in Greg Cote's opinion as the clock ticks down, or if you think that ridiculous recorded flem filled StuGotz Superbowl question they've used for years is serious. The more absurdity that comes with the joke, the more it is encouraged, however Dan is also an advocate for good radio & he completely botched that. If Billy had made that comment he would have immediately been sent to the penalty box.

I have come up with a conspiracy theory involving Pat McAfee and I hope someday it comes true.
Every time Pat is asked why he retired from football way too early, his response is always the same which is he was sick of just punting and wanted to kick field goals as well. He also hated Colts GM Grigson, but he really loves the Colts organization and Jim Irsay so this was not the reason he retired early. The problem with him kicking field goals in Indy is the Colts still have a field goal kicker, Adam Vinatieri, who is the G.O.A.T. and still playing today.
I think Pat talked to Irsay and made a deal that if & when Adam finally decides to retire, Pat will come out of retirement to kick field goals for the Indianapolis Colts, or at least that was the plan before he got popular doing his comedy and podcast stuff. Adam and Pat are really good friends and Pat doesn't want to step on his toes or rush him into retirement, so he's been patiently waiting for his chance. That's why Pat still lives in Indiana despite not having family there and as far as I know he doesn't plan on moving. I would love to see Pat shock the world by coming out of retirement, especially now that he's more popular than ever before.
I could definitely see that happening. It's not like he's sitting around getting fat.
His entire immediate family lives in Indianapolis.

ESPN doesn't need to have talking heads and narratives. Making up stories like Anthony Davis, or who is the greatest of all time in a TEAM sport. Just need a forum to help people get closer and to understand the nuances of the professional athlete. I learned in 5 minutes more about football from a guy catching 500 football's a night at holding camp (yeah, HOLDING camp.) Than I have learned from ESPN in a decade.

I live in Indiana but am a green bay fan. I couldn't stand McAfee when he was playing because it annoyed me a punter was so well known. But after listening to 1 podcast of his a couple years ago I'm all in. He's definitely hilarious at all times, and seems like a genuine person who isn't full of himself unlike the guy colts fans call god aka Peyton Manning. Manning is definitely full of himself and only funny when people are writing for him.
