The audio in this tutorial sounds amazing! Good Job utilizing that Blue Yeti Mic. Also thank you for the great tips! It's those little fine adjustments and attention to detail that makes such a huge difference in the final result.
It’s great to see Hitfilm making these fun things to keep people in home in this corona period. Waiting for your tutorials about particular systems (make a sphere of particular for e.g)
I'd like to commend Javert on compositing himself into the FXHOME office. Almost like this was filmed pre-lockdown! 😉 Good overall tips on this one. Javert, might be time for an updated look at color matching with scopes without needing to cover every little control (since that existing tutorial is still accurate).
Correct. However since Hitfilm's internal camera is set to pixel units, you have to do a little extra work to match focal length. Zach Allen briefly touched on it in his Thor Hammer Catch tutorial on this channel. Or I have a full tutorial on Hitfilm University on focal length matching. I guess another tip would be lens distortion compensation....
I've never used the vectorscope, seems like a good tool I'll have to check it out! But other than that I've been using these other techniques for a while and they really do help!😁
The Vector and Parade Scopes are really useful tools. Do a search for Hitfilm Scope tutorials and you'll find two on this channel. Part One is good. Part Two less so*. *I can say that. I did them. Initially it was to be a single parter, but it was so long we chopped it in two and, when I did the edit, I took off a minute of Part 2 I really should have left in.
Incorrect. The version of Mocha that comes in Hitfilm Pro only has the roto and camera solve modules. Mocha Pro is a separate purchase and contains the Insert, Remove ("content aware fill"), Lens Distortion, Stabilization, and other features. The OFX plug in version of Mocha Pro is Hitfilm compatible.
Great work on keeping things up with the community in these times. Btw you guys missed tip 6: Make sure you got HitFilm. Oh you dont? no worries try out the free version of HitFilm.
Is there a way to add a color grade to the whole project? So i don't have to go clip by clip. It seems he hinted at it at tip 1, but i don't know how to do it.
Great set of tips, but you do want to show your audience the continuation of integrating the Josh plate behind Downey Jr. and Evans, because the grading wasn’t there yet. Also, the cg smoke in the first example would have been produced better in VortechsFX’s Eddy for Nuke, if you didn’t want to get as intense as Houdini.
hey, i was wanting to move hitfilm on my pc because the hard drive that it was on is running out of space, but when I used the installation program to move it, it only lets me chose the hard drive that it's already in. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but it went to the same spot. Is it safe for me to grab the folders that it's in and manually drag it into the drive I want?
No. Uninstall Hitfilm and make certain you do a "Custom" installation. This will allow you to place Hitfilm on any drive. This will NOT let you put Hitfilm on an external drive to move between computers if you're trying that. No matter what drive you install to, a GB or so of files always ends up on your OS drive in Windows.
Hitfilm University I wasn’t trying to put it on an external drive. My pc has two hard drives in it and the one that it was in was getting full so I was trying to move it.
Hey guys! Is there anyway to make a speed ramp effect in Hitfilm? For example, where the footage is at normal speed and then gradually slowly down for a slow mo shot, and then back to normal speed again? Thanks!
If you filmed in LOG and render 3d Elements, render in LOG. Thats the proper way and you still have the range to color grade. In CGI you have all possibiletys, so there ist not much reason not to render in LOG.
Excellent as always. More things to put on the 'must learn more and remember to consider' list
Great to hear!

I thought this video was going to be bad because of the green in your hair but it was really good and I ended up learning a lot. Thanks!
Trying my hand at VFX. This'll go a long way to making the final results blend more. Thanks!

We can render the cg object in log right?

Hey friend, how to do color correction videos and films, a compilet video is seen .... color.....👍
Hit film express is so much better then premiere pro hit film as a tracker
Tip #2 was especially interesting to me. I mean they were all good tips. but for some reason that one jumps out at me. #3 is a close 2nd though. :)

lol yeah there should be a temporal effect, and just keyframe everything to slowly slow down, then speed back up
What gadget to make vfx?
How do same ae?
I'm having trouble with my hit film. He's just closing out of nowhere. Can someone help me?
I'm having the same issue. My thought was it was because I was using intense 3d effects and my computer couldn't handle it. But I don't know

You can convert the raw into mp4 in vlc media player if it doesnt work.

I cant use lut in express dont know why you excluded this makes no sense
Remake this tutorial in after effect
EDIT: Darn! didn't work.
