I have been quietly watching all your youtube posts for a while now. It's amazing how humble and giving you are. I have downloaded all of your free blocks from each video and I marveled at how wonderful you are. But now you have gone so far above and beyond by creating these calculators. I cannot thank you enough. This on-point calculator is invaluable. I am in the beginning stages of making my first on-point full-size (king) quilt. I'm pretty good at math and had estimated the finished size and how many blocks I needed, but was going to guess the sashing, cornerstones and side triangles. But I no longer have to do that. YIPPEE!! I plugged all my numbers in and was happy to find I had the right amount of blocks that I needed and you completely took the guesswork out of everything else! You mentioned in the video that the numbers don't "print" when printed. I printed it to PDF first, then printed the PDF and it worked perfectly. Again, thank you soooo much! God Bless!!
thank you so much for all your kind comments. I am so happy it has helped you! I really appreciate the PDF information. I will try that. Never thought about that! Thank you so much.
I appreciate your tutorials so much. I probably wouldn't have taken the time to learn how to use them on my own. They are great tools to make quilt math easy❣️
This calculator is awesome!! my next big quilt will be an on-point design . Are you already thinking about a calculator for a diamond block shape? I will be using your churn dash block pattern today to start the next round of blocks for my medallion quilt.
Hello Carol, I'm not using sashing between my blocks but want to use 4 of my blocks as actual setting corners in my borders. I'm strongly leaning towards using 3 different borders that total the size of my blocks and extending my colors from the blocks. My question is more about how would you calculate the fabric for more than 1 border, being that the app is calculating for only 1? Thank you.
Good question about the borders. 1. Add the first border to get the fabric for that. 2. Make a note of the quilt finished size. 3. Put 0 in for the border. 4. Add sashing or blocks to make the quilt finished size the same as you wrote down in step 2. 5. Add a border the size of your second border to get fabric for that. 6. Repeat steps 2 thru 5 for the 3rd border. This is a great option to add to the calculator! I will add it to my list. Thanks for your comments!
Thank you Carol, I went into the app to find that you added extra border options you are so amazingly talented. Words will never be able to express my gratitude for all you've done or what all you continue to do. Thank you again.
Thank you! I love quilty math, but I must admit I enjoyed having the computer do the work!
Me too!

This is wonderful! I just went to your calculator site, and can't find the Setting Triangle Calculator. Help!
That would be the On-Point Calculator - quiltnotes.com/pages/106-OnPointCalculator-Results.php
@@CarolThelen Thank you so much! I didn't see the "Setting Triangles" sizes at the bottom. Great!!

FYI - Background music is way too loud. I love your tutorials and your voice is so pleasant, but this background is so distracting.
Noted. Thank you.
