I have followed that exact strategy with other birds Kevin. And it works. For years I tried to film Splendid Fairy Wrens casually, and the best I could get was half a second of good footage. We live on a rural property and have several Fairy Wren families nesting there. They are shy and elusive birds and even though one family frequented our vegetable garden I never got quality footage until I decided to follow another family daily for several months. I learned their behaviour and their calls, and now I can predict how they think. It has enabled me to get footage I wished for, and I think more than that. Your advice very apt Kevin👍
