I was your first thumbs up today. Video up 2 minutes. I am coming down there November 6-12 staying at Gautier. Hoping the the nearshore is good since it’s gonna be windy. Can’t wait whoop whoop.
I’ll give the fish bites bait credit. Has a rough day without getting bait last Monday at fish river. Got a whopping total of 4 fish. One white trout and the rest catfish. The white trout came on a fish bite. The rest were catfish on voodoo shrimp under a popping cork. Never caught catfish on artificial but it was that kind of day. Going to try the causeway this week if I get a chance and can get some bait. Great video.
Enjoy your videos. Here is a suggestion for a video, or at least part of a video. Could you pick a day with clear water, about 2 ft deep, and record what your double flounder rig actually looks like as you retrieve it across the bottom in your normal retrieve? To see how it moves and how much its jumping sure would be helpful for those of us trying to duplicate your retrieve style. Its hard or impossible to judge how fast its moving or how big the twitches move it, just by watching your rod and and reel handle. Thanks for your consideration.
I live in west central Louisiana and go south to the Hackberry, Lake Calcasieu area and do a lot of inshore fishing and love this time of year all the way to Feb. Great video, what tags are you using, I am part of the Tag Louisiana program and tag reds. God bless and see you on the next one. Oh new subscriber here as well.
Thanks brother and I appreciate your comment. The tagging program is from the University of South Alabama and Dauphin Island Sea lab. I have a video from last October explaining all about it!
I sure hope those tags don’t kill the flounder like they do specks and reds… The specks and reds I’ve caught that lived through tagging, had a deformed place in there back!!! I fish in Mississippi… I fish exactly where I’ve seen you tag flounder and have yet to catch a tagged flounder… I catch a lot of flounder bro!… Just a concerned ole salt… 🕷️
@@bayoubanditcharters I also have a good friend who is a commercial hook & line fisherman here in Mississippi. All he targets is flounder from mid summer to late fall. I questioned him about ever catching one with a tag and said that he has never caught one before… Either we have an over abundance of flounder or the tagged ones are dying… I know DMR have “flounder traps” set out over here and I often see them checking them during the week. I’m going to question them the next time I see them farso!… 🕷️
Nice one
Thanks brother!
That point at 9:55...I knew there'd be a fish on that one. Great video. I love the solitude of the marsh too!
Lol, thanks brother! Those points are fire!
Thanks!
Thanks so much brother, I definitely appreciate it!
When I was a little boy I remember going giggling with my dad. I miss those days
It's defiantly a lot of fun! I'll have a new flounder gigging video out in 2 weeks!
Fish bites are for sure more durable that the gulp. I just haven’t jumped on the flounder good enough to do a side by side test yet.
I definitely love using them!
Capt. Jody with another good one!
Thanks brother!

Flounder are probably the most Resilient fish out there, no issues with the tags. I haven’t caught one with a tag it it yet either, lol!
@@bayoubanditcharters Well… as many as you tag, and as much as both you and I catch them, is what concerns me brother…
