What a nice neat tidy grain train. Only 3 gray grain cars and only 1 with graffiti on it. It just looked like a nice clean train. I haven’t seen a train look like that in years.
Some of the engine cab interiors also suffer from this problems as well On a CN unit that was returned to Canada after being operated in Mexico the cab had al kinds of writting on the walls
@@BudgieJane really nothing unless they catch them. I’m not sure why over the past 25 years it’s become such a big thing to vandalize. Just look at videos from the late 90s there was hardly any tagging. Thank you for watching

Thanks for your videos-very much appreciated! It’s interesting regarding your comments about crews having to run their power around these grain shuttles. BNSF learned long ago that there’s virtually no difference in train handling with power on each end. BNSF grain shuttles are normally 2+1 or 1+2. For loop load-outs it’s not an issue. However for straight siding or spur load-outs they don’t run-around any power. A classic example of this are the non-loop load-outs in Eastern North Dakota. Virtually all grain produced in the North Central states goes to the Pacific Northwest ports for export. Loaded trains from terminals along BNSF’s Jamestown Sub will travel east to KO Junction. Crew van from Dilworth will switch crews and the train will then proceed west on the KO Sub to Minot then westward on the ex-GN HiLine to Washington state. I wonder if TP&W knows this. Thanks again.

Spray painting a rail car in the daylight is pretty bold. Must not be much of a police department to worry about. Lets hope he doesn't have any kids that he can pass his ignorance down to.

Back in the 1980s I used to tag the sides of freight cars with IBM cards (using a staple gun) at the Chicago & North Western's (C&NW) Proviso yard as the cars were slowly shoved up the hump. Things got interesting when the staple gun would get jammed!
CN units on a unit train of leased cars almost all the same color. The car firms must order the BNSF brown paint by the tank car load and there are somewhere between 8 and 10 car fleets that have substantial numbers in that paint. That was a beautiful shot of the train receding into the fall color tree Archway. I didn't know Rembrandts inspiration came as a moving canvas. He'll have to go to his floppy apartment and celebrate with a joint and a can of Busch Light. Even though the train only passed thru Galveston IN it's ironic but Galveston TX is a major destination for export grain
I sure hope you provide a copy of this to the railroad police! Like to see him sit in a cell for a few months. BTW Around the 13:00 mark, I was watching the crossing lights go on and off while the train was crossing. Is that a function of your camera equipment, or is there a problem with the lights? It just looked quite strange.
I do NOT believe it!! This train is made up with Artificial Intelligence. There is NOT a train with that many cars with NO trash graffiti!! NO WAY!! AND, NO square wheels?? I did not hear ANY bang bang of flat spotted wheels here. I did not think totally round wheels existed on ANY trains any more. This whole video was a surreal experience!! Amazing!! I really enjoyed it, even though I was totally shocked. Must be nice to be in an area like this. I really feel criminals who deface property with their creations should have to clean it all off. (DANG, did I ever have to clean that up from what I REALLY mean)

It was a cool lookin' train tags and all. Graffiti is going to there no matter what. I have an HO model train layout and my cars will have some. I've asked some of my friends if they would like to put graffiti on some rolling stock, a few said they'd like to.

if you look at videos from the 50s 60s and maybe into the 70s railcars had interesting pain job on them like the Santa fe reefers. they looked more well done. I'm pretty sure this is why that stopped. sucks to see that people don't care about other people don't care about others things. even if its a megamillion dollar corporation it sucks. this guy should have his house spray painted

The railroad tracks from Logansport to Kokomo are owned by Kokomo Grain and they are leased out to the TPW until the year 2040. Kokomo Grain wants to run all of their grains trains from Logansport to Kokomo so they don't half to deal with Central Railroad Of Indianapolis and Central also rents their tracks to the TPW too.
Guy didn’t look like a typical tagger. Do they use some type of temporary paint to mark where to uncouple the train so they know what cars to leave on the siding?

I hope you see the point made here and before inget the cheesey comments about this. Just understand i was once a foamer. And when i saw how much life i was missing out on, it was too late. Go find a job that can better fit a career your looking for go helpout with family stuff. Relise how much money is spent on this hobbie and spend it on somebody else. Time is money to. Spend time with family build something that can change a world. The railroads internally is a real awfull place to be and not something you should be looking forward to. Because you guys can do better then worrybabout some stanger. And mock him about some dumb rule he broke.

BNSF sends grain trains on the Illinois side from Peoria to Chenoa Illinois. They come on the Peoria sub, via Galesburg yard.
Great video! I noticed that recently refurbish/painted cars have the reporting marks high up near the top of cars where the taggers can’t reach.

The BNSF “brown” color is actually ATSF (now BNSF) Tuscan Red and yes, likely used for Greenbrier’s leasing pool cars because of cost as you stated.

This train must have been interchanged with CN in Gilman because that can explain why it has CN power on it.
