This weekend is our annual Family campout reunion, and we are carrying 2 Granddaughters, with us, but there will be over 60, in our campout. The Family keeps growing.

We just had a cousins reunion this past weekend as well. My kids and all of their cousins came to my sisters and camped fri,sat,sun and Monday. It was amazing. This is the second of many. I'm so glad my kids generation is keeping up my Mothets legacy of how important family is and to get together at least once a year when the family is spread out. My generation was lucky that we lived within 5 miles of each other from birth to our 30's. We still always stayed close by traveling to each others homes at thanksgiving every year. Now I'm a Grampy and it's time for the next generation to take over putting together the gathering point each year. It was an amazing weekend. 27 in all from 4 kids and their kids. Warmed my heart and made me tear up a bit thinking how my Grandparents and parents would have been in their glory with all of the kids together !!

Hi there guys, Gary looks rested!!!! The short break w/his family/grad kids, was a treat for them!! He looks, like he got a hair cut. WOW, THE WINDOW INSTALL IS INTERSETING, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER VIDEOS & EXPLANATIONS OF THE BUILD. I'M A SR. WOMAN, THAT ENJOYS THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDING. ** I HAD NO INTERNET FOR 5 DAYS, SO I HAD TO CATCH UP. I THINK THAT YOU, ARE DOING YOU & THE NASTY COMMENTS, some people ARE MAKING, SHOWS WHAT THE NATURE OF THE BEAST IS REALLY, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!!! Garry it looks like you lived through the King of the Hill! It is nice to see you came back unscabbed. Doug, I always like watching you guys work on Grandma's cabin. We have vinyl windows are in our home too. Our house was constructed back in the 1948. If the older people who lived on this street were right they have stated more than once our home was built first. Then the second one was built for the sister across the street. I found the building tracks for this area and I found it extremely interesting.
Wonderful progress on Mom's cabin. I am learning so much watching you. Doug, Gary, Stacy and Marge make a great team!! 😊💖😊
Quicky on the outlets. put a pig tail on every outlet and switch. Then you can push the wire in and only need to deal with a tiny amount of wire. Sure makes installing the outlets go like a breeze. Grins. Yeah I know you did take the comments to heart. All of us out here are pulling for you to pull this build together like a champ. (so far wow wonderful)

I have an idea that ya'll would not be affordable! A premium team with humor and sweat! Thank you for the added work of recording this process, Doug. I am enjoying the show! The home is looking wonderful.
I don’t think my windows are sealed nearly so well as these! I have air leaking all around them and the bugs gain access into my house so easily! Good job, Doug; way to save your mom some money and from being invaded from the bug world.
I live in tented apartment and bugs do get in my apartment as well.
Love the door. So glad Gary got to enjoy his grandchildren and made great memories. Grandchildren are such blessings. Have a Romans 25:13 day.

I use to build doors just like that!! The one with the decorative window was called the Biltmore door. It was designed at Specialty Glass company… I miss those days!!

Doug, you have a perseverence that is commendable. Gary is a treasure, take care of that guy! He is a smart guy and seems to keep ahead of potential problems and addresses them as one should to be a successful builder and carpenter. The girls, Stace and Marge have been very helpful too. All of you are very hard working and really are an inspiration, God bless and hope this project turns out as well as you all wanted. It looks great and I really appreciate all the engineering with the soffit vent system and the work arounds for the settling of the structure. All the wood products are as beautiful as they are functional. It's been a pleasure watching the progress. Doug, your Mother should be very grateful and proud of your (and all the others too) efforts in this project. Take care.

Your cabin is looking fantastic. Your electrical receptacles are probably fine. As long as your following the NEC using the correct receptacle for the amperage things should be fine. Keep up the good work. I’m anxious to see the finished cabin.

Was just talking to my cousin about camping. We'd go to Traverse City, Mi for the cherry festival. It was so much fun. We took a camper with us. OMG, it was so much fun. Glad you got away with the grandbabies. Next year, Doug and Stacy can come with their grandbabies. BLESSINGS 🥰

As Doug and Gary were installing doors and windows the thought struct me that Doug's mom must love watching the build of her cabin and getting really excited to watch the completion. I pray she has many, many years of enjoyment in her new home.

It’s really starting to come together! I think it’s a beautiful home!
After hubby and I spent years of scouting and being leaders and sleeping under the stars or in a tent, we upgraded to an RV since we do not have scouts anymore. Best thing we have done in all of our years. We can enjoy the outdoors and still have the comforts of home! Love watching the build! I have the same mudroom door as my front door!
