My scotish fold blue kitten, 4 months old male is the sweetest thing ever, but acts and behaves just like a baby. Yes, he likes toys, but maneuvred by a human slave. If he's bored, he meowns like a spoiled kid and he only stops if someone is entertaining him. He seems to enjoy meowing constantly even while being happy and playful. Is this a thing, meowing without any specific reason? I love this little focker, he acts like he knows that he's a pure breed.
Do I have to take care or play with them 24/7? In the future I'm planning to get one but I will most likely be busy with school or work and I really don't want to mistreat the pet
You can leave them alone for up to 8 hours a day, as far as you provide all the basic necessities like food, water and toys to keep them busy. More than 8 hours and it prolly won’t end well.
@@Blue-dm1os if you haven't gotten one already, please do not, under any circumstances, buy one from a breeder. Scottish folds have numerous health issues because of the mutation that causes their folded ears. Breeding them is cruel and should be illegal. If you still have not gotten one, only adopt one from a shelter.
@@Blue-dm1os no problem friend. Also for stuff related to taking care of cats and whatnot I'd recommend watching Jackson galaxy, he has a lot of useful information. Have a good one.
My first cat happened to have the gene. I didn't purchase her. She was one of the kittens my aunt's cat had, and when she grew up, her ears were still folded. She had a single fold. So my first experience with a cat, was with a fold. Her name was Goku 1 - Goku didn't have symptoms of OCD. I've read about OCD and I know it start from the tail. Goku had a flexible tail even the last day of her life. However, se got arthritis due to aging pprocess, when she was 11 (she lived more than 19 years) 2 - I'm not into dry food. I'm for moist food, with a lot of water in addition. Cat drink a very little. My Goku died to kidney failure, and she got ill quite late in her life, due to lucky genetics. She ate both dry and moist food when younger, later I switched to moist food only. I want to prevent kidney disease, though I wonder if is also a matter of age/genetics. 3 - Goku hated to be brushed. i also uploaded a video. She hated water, but when she got older, she didn't mind. 4 - see 1 5 - Goku was rather lazy, but from the age of 8 to the age of 11 she became more lively. As if she went back to kitten stage.
Hi, I read your message actually I just got a mix of Scottish fold and Himalayan kitten a few days ago. He doesn't eat dry food he just want to eat chicken only the wet food. He also has some stomach problems (diarrhea).I am new to this breed after getting this kitten I got to know that they have genetic disease. I'm worried .I don't wanna give him back he's just 2 months old. Now I'm trying my best to find any treatment if possible to prevent him from getting arthritis. He doesn't eat dry food. So is there anyway u can help me. What can I give him to eat. Is it ok to only eat wet food instead of dry? I'll look forward to your reply 😊
@@Littleprincess1.a wet fot is actually better for the kidney and yes, for arthritis. For OCD, just cheek his tail periodically. There are videos that explain how to do that. If the tail is flexible, there is no OCD. The fact your cat is a fold doesn't mean he/she will develop OCD.

Haha cute i have a ragdoll cat that is like that but i thik its a personality thing because my other cats in not like that
I can confirm it’s normal. My Scottish fold sounds like a Scottish pipe
They know they are loved and spoilt. My SF demands play time all day. He has a specific sound for play, food, and cuddles.
do they get along with birds? If I get a kitten would that work?
Honestly I can’t say, it depends on how early you socialize them, but still they have a strong prey drive.

@@alicesacco9329 thank you so much
@@alicesacco9329 one more thing is there a specific age at which these cats get arthritis or any age?
@@Littleprincess1.a age is usually around 11/14 years old. Not just fold, all cats can ger arthritis after a certain age. But usually is manageable.
Idk should I get a Scottish fold
My boy a stud muffin I'm got a British short-haired blue to breed with munchkin
