The only URL I share with my customers is to my website. If you’re going to market and do social to get people to follow you and see your products, it’s best to direct them to your personal website versus a platform. The platform will have other makers below your images or page that may direct people away from your products.

The internet in many ways can be a blessing and curse depending on how its wielded, I think we are moving back to the times of genuine engagement and interaction between customers and vendors. People are paying attention to customer service or lack there of and want to put their money with people in integrity but we get bombarded with the scammers/crooks/retail giants on both sides of the spectrum. Have you tried selling your items at Farmers markets, setting up at community events? Introducing your products & presence to consumers in your state by way of public gatherings maybe be a good strategy to generate sales. Maybe your business evolves from selling to teaching. Perhaps recording your creations for youtube/social media. Since people love to spectate give them something to watch :). I think you have many options to keep your baby alive n well. It might look different in the future but be open. I believe as a society we are to dependent on technology because if the internet goes out today most businesses can do nothing. They run via a website or app and use things like card readers, billing systems etc when back in the day our ancestors had a regular old metal cash register and some paper. But thats another story lol. 💚
I had a customer purchase an outfit and then take a picture saying the shorts were split, but she had zoomed in so close you could see her thumbs stretching the seam. I messaged her calling her out on her scamming tactic and refused to give a refund. She filed a claim with eBay and they told me the buyer wasn't worth their time and refunded BUT I was not penalized. EBay footed the bill for the refund.
In regard to the company that wanted your name that you had legally registered, how were they able to force you to give it up? How come you were not protected when you played by the rules and had the approval of the mighty US government?
