I grew up incredibly rich, the crap she’s buying is nothing like what my parents bought us for Christmas. It’s the quantity, the waste and the lack of thought. I have gifts from my parents from over two decades ago still because they were thoughtful and meaningful and showed love and care. This just gives me anxiety. I am personally not rich, and I buy gifts the same way my parents did for us - it’s about the thoughtfulness not the quantity. This is how you destroy kids.

I didn't grow up "rich", I was born in 1980 to two successful parents in the fashion industry, so I grew up very comfortably middle class; yet my most extravagant (& very treasured) presents were a Cabbbage Patch doll and a Super Nintendo to share with my 3 siblings. I'm so grateful for my parents not spoiling us too much and I did the same with my 3 boys.

I did too...I grew up in the 80’s in Miami very rich father and he bought us MEANINGFUL gifts...2-3 things each (3 of us) and we traveled and LEARNED ABOUT LIFE with the rest ❤️

Well said. Unfortunately I don't think this woman will never change. Where does she get all her money, from the state for having the foster kids? We have three adult children but we didn't get them their first cellphones until they were 15. I know we're terrible parents making them wait that long. 😆

Most people don't post every present they are buying to the internet because....you know...the recipient of the gift has access to the internet and can see it! Doesn't that ruin the magic and surprise of gift giving? She could have at least waited to post this video AFTER Christmas.

I grew up lower middle class in the 80ies. Everything we wanted or needed was only bought for Christmas and Birthdays, especially sports equipment etc. We were into skiing and snowboarding, so Christmas was pretty much the time to replace broken or outgrown gear and outdoor clothing. Same with other expensive things like a new bike. New clothing was purchased at the beginning of the school year.
What I'm trying to say is that there wasn't mountains of stuff, but the things we actually needed and used for the next years to come.

I will admit, I spoil my kids (they’re 24 & 17), but I get them things they asked for, and they don’t ask for things just to get. They use everything. What she spent is absolutely absurd🤯 Not to mention ruining the whole surprise of Christmas morning by posting BEFORE the day comes so the kids and their friends can see it. Don’t get me started on what she’s setting those foster kids up for. I feel bad for the bio parents when/if they get THEIR kids back, how can they compete with what they’ve been getting. Mind blowing!

  • @Bluestarrydreams
    @Bluestarrydreams ปีที่แล้ว +6

Sickening. These kids will appreciate NOTHING and how long until most of the things get broken or destroyed? We got $25 Walmart shoes because we would outgrow them or ruin them so why would you spend $500?? And regarding all of the electronics and games.. she CLAIMS they only get 1 HOUR of SCREEN TIME/DAY.. so what the hell do they need all the games, etc for??? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

People are hurting this year and she's just giving that money to the giants. Thinking of all the kids she could help that have parents that are struggling to afford Christmas this year. The sad thing is the kids will not appreciate anything and if situations change and they can’t afford all this crap then those kids will have meltdowns. My kid loves video games and Lego sets as well but I don’t clear out target to get one of everything. she really doesnt understand just because you HAVE the money to spend doesnt mean you should spend it all and get ridiculous amount of things for your kids. we all want to spoil our kids rotten but it comes to the point where you buy them everything and they wont look forward to anything cause they already have it or know they will be getting it..smh
and they buying 12 of everything..can these kids not share ANYTHING? ARE THEY ALL GOING TO BE HOOLA HOOPING AT THE SAME TIME?

My dad bought me an iPad once. I thanked him, but told him I already had a phone and a laptop and couldn't see a need for it. I also privately would have preferred something more personal, but that was kind of my dad's thing. He returned it and I didn't get anything else.
Guess what--we didn't get everything we wanted when we were kids. Gifts mean something different to us.

she has 12 children, every single one of them need to have chores. dont do your chores, ya get nothing extra but food and water. she is in the process of making monsters for society to deal with. wait till the crap hits the fan, one of them will tell what all of us watching them are thinking is going on. too many children, too many to keep up with she cant even go when she says shes going to do her laundry, its too much for one person to keep up with i understand, thats what she choose to do.

She is doing those kids such a disservice- that is not real life. We spoil our kids but that means they get to pick dinner on their birthdays and I make sure to pay attention during the year to get them what they really want for Christmas. Like one big gift. She is ruining them.

Hi Frenchie! She’s so wasteful!!! It just disgusts me at how she just throws money away like she does. I’m on disability and she probably paid more for those iPads than I get for the whole year!!!! She just make me want to🤮🤮🤮 why does a 4 or 5 year need any of that???🌺🌺🌺

Lol I got one of those keyboards for my dad's iPad and it was literally 8 dollars. Works perfectly and available in different colors as well, no need to attach them to the Ipad. (A plus to me) Mine is lavender and works with Bluetooth and would do well on my Android phone as well. I'm not sure if those Apple keyboards are compatible with every device.

I enjoy you covering the Dougherty dozen, it’s fascinating to watch the spending and the dynamic, and I wouldn’t watch it directly as I really don’t like watching children in videos. So this is great. I’d rather a pixelated child than Chantals bent over ass 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣🤣

So I've never been able to spoil him with the fun stuff. So when it comes to all my neices and nephews, I'm their favorite aunt....I tend to spoil

The reason Chantal describes your attendance at her big fesshun show as 'stalker-ish' is because she finds anyone crossing the line between TH-cam and real life is perceived as a serious threat to the delusional fantasies that she constantly peddling on YT.

That's all I would have gotten other than socks or pj's as well. Done. I got a cheap mp3 player as a teen. I would have gotten jewelry...but maybe 50 bucks?

It's quite clear she doesn't know her children's personalities as I haven't seen her buy them clothes which is a very personal item. I know because my mother neglected me and not my brother. I'm 44 and he's 42 and she can still buy him clothes to this day (so can I because I'm close with him). I get gift cards from her or she physically takes me shopping so none of my gifts are a surprise. She's never tried though I've given her about a million clues. I seriously dislike this woman and trust me I'm being kind.

Possibly hot take but I feel like it should be illegal to have a 2-parent household with more than say, 3-4 kids. After that you have older kids taking care of younger kids and the parents can’t possible have complete in-depth bonds with all of the kids equally. Makes me sad really
