    Bought my Z Force Saturday. Placed my first order on-line with MSC Monday morning (clutch kit) with a question. Less than an hour later MSC called me with the answer to my question. Less than 18 hours later FedEx delivered my clutch kit. We're talking Tishomingo MS to Skamania WA!!! Less than 18 hours? That's service! Fantastic job MSC and FedEx! I'll be shopping with you again very soon!

    Sorry to dig up on such an old video.
    Just getting into to CVTech game.
    We have a diesel derivative (called a LandBoss) which is like a UForce 1000 with a Kubota diesel in it.
    I am keen to understand what the spring weight, spring clocking and flyweight changes actually manipulate so I can start fiddling as I do NOT like the way this machine drives for what I need it to do. And also gonna be upgrading from 26s to 29s.
    Tha ks in advance and I'm.gonna keep browsing your videos, they're amazing!

      💪thanks guys! I was just telling someone yesterday that if I had to choose only one thing that I could do to my atv or SxS, I would have to choose a clutch kit.
      It’s the most effective performance upgrade that doesn’t involve motor work

    Hey guys. I saw some people removing those plastic and metal washers and call it "delimiting". Basically they say you get more top end power.
    Is that true? I saw you guys say to make sure you out those back on correctly. What is their purpose there?
    Thanks!

    Question Blake? Do I just use the spreader tool to take off belt only or do I have to un bolt the secondary as well? All I am trying to accomplish is to change out the belt. Thank you

    • @RealTalkPowersports
      @RealTalkPowersports  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you spread the secondary all the way you can fight the belt off without removing the sheaves.. but it’s normally easier to just disassemble the whole thing. But try the spreading the secondary part first and see if you can get it off.

    you all ever have a tinging sound from the CVT area 2022 clutch (Aluminum Clutch Cover) Z Force 800 (sounds like the secondary) I have checked everything from heat shields to break pads I have not pulled the CVT apart but was wondering if you had any advice. Thank you
    Update: there is a thin metal plate behind the primary clutch that has three bolts holding it on, one of them came loose and ate into the fins on the primary housing and the tinging sound was the thin metal plate bouncing off the primary housing. the bolt was never found not sure if it was left out from factory or???.

    • @kimf8288
      @kimf8288 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have a new “tinging” sound related to a bent bushing (long story) that sits in-between the two secondary sheaves. It’s on ‘08 Arctic Cat 650 with the original CVTech. Came here to see if they addressed the bushing.

  • @mjuhanil
    @mjuhanil 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I put a clutch kit on the primary and it helped. But I don't understand why you need to do anything to the clutches. I've owned can am and Polaris and I never even saw the clutch in either one because they were great from the factory. I thought CV tech are the best clutches out there.

    • @RealTalkPowersports
      @RealTalkPowersports  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are GREAT from the factory.. but if you want more performance out of a CFMOTO, canam, Polaris… and so on.. the most effective performance upgrade is a clutch kit

    Have a somewhat different style 2nd clutch on an old 500 Polaris. It has a small plate on the outside with 3 slotted holes, that plate turns a bit under load. Can’t find a similar clutch anywhere. Took a picture, but how do I send it to you for display? I suspect it could be a golf cart clutch? (Actually, both clutch seem to have been replaced with different ones).

    No matter what way i change my clutch, clean,scuff up stages, springs,weights etc it is always running way too hot right off under normal riding. Cant cruise paved roads, dirt mud etc. Just getting fed up with it and thinking ill trade it innfor a honda

      Hey is it a Gen 1 500 like mine in this video??

    • @RealTalkPowersports
      @RealTalkPowersports  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If so you just need the MSC tune for it..
      It’s too lean and that’s why it’s running hot..
      MSC tune fixes that

      @@RealTalkPowersports 21 uforce-1000. Belt heats up to 200plus within min of just regular riding. Going to try an put oem belt back in. Its done it regardless of belt,weights,primary or secondary springs, clocking an stock or stage 3 helix. I noticed my cover doesnt have the heat deflectors in it like the diagram does. So maybe it not directing airflow properly.
