maybe it gets out of focus in the bathroom if it measures the the middle and you leave a lot of headspace so your head is just barely in the middle of the frame when you're close to the mirror? There's different settings for autofocus you could look into... and also, love the audition content!
@@alexiseldredge i have mine on a setting where it measures a spot and i can move that spot to anywhere i want not just the middle. I dunno if that made sense haha but yeah good luck!

Hey there Alexis..love your vlog and your "real" journey to be a NYC performer. Just wanted to say I appreciate you saying what shows you are auditioning for. I follow a few NYC youtubers who are seeking out jobs in musical theater and they never disclose the shows they are auditioning for. Is this maybe just a personal superstition kinda thing or other reasons? Just wondering your take on it since you are in the business...Good luck with the audition..I love Sunset Blvd! (also..what song did you choose for your audition?)
Hey! I just recently found your channel, love it :) Just wanted to give you some advice as a current auditioner myself, but in the orchestra world. Practice, practice, practice! If you're worried about bothering your neighbours, practice in the middle of the day if you can (and you might be surprised, your neighbours might enjoy it!) And be glad you don't play something that really cuts through walls like trumpet lmaoo. And try to practice a little every day, the consistency is key! I tell this to all my students lol, 5 min a day is much better than 35min on one day a week. Hope this helps!!!
Just a theoretical guess, but that mystery illness you had was probably covid, especially with the pink eye as that was a newer symptom around that time. The lingering cough, bad allergies and voice issues are also all well know issues from having covid. Might be worth looking into to help you get better. Love watching your videos and cheering for you and your theatrical career!

omg nooooo I only usually go to smaller regional calls there, I have never dared to go to broadway or tour calls because I feel like I won’t get seen 😅
