I get so mad whenever I'm reminded how Corey Feldman had been trying for years to raise awareness of the abuse going on in Hollywood, and was essentially constantly ignored.
Sadly for him, he was raised in an era when boys and men's claims of abuse were generally ignored. Only girls, and not even all of them, were taken seriously. There seemed to he he stigma attached to male abuse that no one wanted to touch. Terrible in hindsight. I still feel that one day the real extent of historical child abuse will be revealed. I'd bet there are far more cases in general (not just hollywood) that the public don't know about.
Historical perspective for those who didnt live through it: At the time that he was initially making these allegations publicly, he wasn't the person that you see today. He was making rounds on talk shows, in what seemed like a falling star's attempt to stay relevant. Every one of his attempts to revive his career was much less than stellar (music, acting, reality tv) - and was accompanied by media rounds in which he made these type of stataements. He didnt have amazing talent in the entertainment fields that he was pursuing. His singing and acting were average to poor. The reality tv bit was watchable but only because such entertainment thrives with messy people and issues. It was clear that he wasn't really "all there" a lot of the time. There was drug use and this very very odd obsession with Michael Jackson that resulted in a sort of everyday cosplay in his appearance. The allegations seemed so outlandish. It seemed like he would say anything to be relevant in the entertainment industry again. He absolutely should have been and be believed. I just want to make sure that people understand why he wasn't. Because it still happens even now, with other victims.
Acting like him, or Vin Diesel in his clip, was so normalized for men. I guess it still is for many people. Glad it's dying out. I'm sure most women have experienced that sort of talk and know how uncomfortable it is but you are sort of forced to just laugh it off and "be a good sport".
While I will never defend him, he’s a creep. What does she expect being nude in movies like Hollywood’s not an excuse to be naked it’s really disrespecting yourself and selling yourself out to porn
I never liked her, and couldn't watch her at all after I was so disgusted by her interview a million years ago with Dolly Parton. Just ugh. But the abuse one was much worse, wow.
They were all bad, but the obvious potential implications of that threat were the worst, and therefore impossible to defend. The woman that made the threat should have been charged, so should Sawyer for incitement.
I remember watching that interview and thinking "WTF?". From taking that woman's side to taking JT's side it was a ridiculous interview. You could tell Sawyer personally didn't like Britney because otherwise Sawyer was a pretty good interviewer.
If lived real time during that whole media era , it was DISGUSTING the treating of Britney. Even at the time watching that all could think was wtf? That interview is uncomfortable to watch then and now. Sawyer deserved no respect for her handling of it, even today makes no apology or reflection on it. The sympathy Sawyer had for a governors wife wanting to kill her, for being a normal 21 yr old, just with camera shoved in her face 24/7? The constant you must be a role model for our little girls bs was ridiculous. This country has always been terrified of any woman that owns her own sexuality and who doesn't follow the made up "rules" and do what told. And she wasnt even doing anything scandalous, unless you were of course "offended" cause shes a woman living her life same as any other 21 year old. Dont worry, if you were a man, you were praised, you know, like poor Justin, having his heart broken while laughing about sleeping with her in interviews and raking in the money from videos claiming it. Classy! Even if wanted to give him the hes young excuse, his apology now to her and Janet, was followed by him screaming I apologize to noone at a show did afterwards. again, class act that man. They portrayed it as such then cause, omg, she young, attractive and famous, must be stopped! Britney was a kid, watch any interviews from that time, she was the nicest, sweetest person, but the non stop tearing down at her, it was unbelievable.
@@littletom1978 probably just jealous of Brittney. poor kid was thru a lot, from her dad, her mother and Disney after Walt died...............sorry for her.
Barbara Walters should have been ashamed of herself. She was a horrible and disgusting woman for saying what she did to Corey Feldman, Corey if you ever see this I'm sorry she treated you like that, I have been a fan since the 80's.
She's the worst. So over-rated. The Diane Sawyer/Brittany clip actually made me think of Barbara. People considered her the best interviewer because she could make everyone cry during interviews. That was considered great journalism - ask hurtful, traumatizing questions and make people cry. I could never stand her.
Yeah, back before the Internet existed, and stuff went viral, they did some wild stuff on some of the shows where they thought it would never be seen again…
I remember in the 80s how everyone around me would watch The Cosby Show, but I just had no interest. Everybody thinking he was such a warm, funny, dad figure.
The older I get, the less I care for Oprah. She is definitely not who I thought she was, back when I loved both her and her show. I have zero respect left for that woman. It makes me so annoyed that I fell for the fake persona.
I feel the same. I thought she always seemed like a good person but she has given so much relevance to so many liars and grifters including Dr Phil. She's surrounded by a lot of scummy people including pedos and sex offenders. She's clearly bought and sold.
I can't believe all the pressure that was put on Britney when she was so young. How dare they? Oh, and all the predators can take a long walk off a short cliff.
@humbertocirne22 I think that was because some interviewer left them alone in the green room. They started answering phones and acted like the Sex Pistols would act given free access to the public. It was hilarious but the guy who let it happen lost his job.
Britney was always classy in interviews. Imagine how differently things may have been for her if Sawyer had done a decent interview and given Britney an outlet for her voice rather than mute her and kick her repeatedly. Sawyer had the opportunity to build a young woman up but she preferred to tear her down.
As Carol Moreira is a well known youtuber in Brazil, she spoke out about how she felt unconfortable during Vin Diesel's enterview, and she imediatly faced backlash and was acused of using the case to promote herself. It is insane 'cause you can clearly see how the enterview was kind of a big deal for her and how jaring and unapropried he was behaving...
It's an especially rough case for her. He's so confident with it, he's doing it on camera. In front of others. Any nobody sticks up for her, making it seem like it's fine. Additionally, it's a huge opportunity for her, she cannot walk out or make a big scene, and it is her professional responsibility to try to get as much usable content out of the interview as possible, so she has to try to make it work, and she's constantly having to go back to that place of being professional while this overgrown, creepy child keeps refusing to talk to her about the film he's there to promote, she's there to get a couple of questions in to edit down for the show, and he's just completely wasting her time, and harassing her.
Somehow that doesn't surprise me as I've heard misogyny is particularly problematic/prevalent in Brazil and other South American countries (I don't have statistics on this, and I may be completely wrong, that's just what I've heard)
@@yellowblanka6058 Just so you know, Brazil’s former president called the act of conceiving his own daughter “a moment of weakness” in comparison to his sons, and he still won the election. You can see the problem from this.
The worst part about Vin Diesel’s interview with Carol Moreira is that, due to his celebrity status, she was the one that ended up being “cancelled” at the time for calling out on his behavior, as if the fact he’s a well known actor justifies acting like a moron. Vin Diesel never apologized, he just posted about how he was trying to make the interview funny and moved on, while she still has to deal with the consequences of that interview ‘till this day.
I was never a fan of Vin Diesel, though I've seen a handful of his movies, and after hearing that he is a big D&D fan I thought "ah, that's cool, he's somewhat nerdy, seems like a cool guy"...but then after the whole sexual assault situation came to light, and then seeing interviews like this....yikes. Unfortunately, even if you think you know somebody, particularly those in the public eye, you never really do.
@@slackercapt No opinions here except for the part where I called him a moron. All facts: - He did act creepy and made her uncomfortable - She did receive backlash for calling out his behavior - He never apologized and moved on - She still has to deal with the repercussions of his unprofessional behavior towards her
man that bit about mariah carey and ellen. i can't stand mariah carey and i hate ellen, but now i have to give mariah some sympathy because i never knew she had a miscarriage and that is a super rough experience for any woman, and she was possibly expecting at that time, and ellen knew that and ellen still tried to force it. makes me hate ellen more.
It's weird how much I loved both years ago but I'd lost respect for Ellen maybe a couple of years after she started her show. She vibes were so insincere. When she did gift giving, she had this "look what I've graced you with, peasant, now thank & worship me" energy. I loved Mariah since she first hit the scene in '90. I fell off when everyone else did until I realized all the things she went through. I have a newfound level of respect for her. She's a true master of her craft. I didn't see this episode but Ellen truly has dogshit where her humanity should be.
Miscarriages are far more common than is generally acknowledged, because they are so difficult and painful to talk about. If this were better known perhaps women’s privacy about announcing pregnancies would be better respected.
I lost all respect for Ellen. She pretends to be inclusive but fails at every turn. Mariah isn't the only celeb that she's basically forced information out of for her audience. What truly infuriated me was how she gave Mariah, a possibly pregnant woman, alcohol to "prove" she wasn't pregnant. Putting Mariah and her fetus in danger. Why would you put anyone in that type of position? For clout??? God, she disgusts me now.
I was looking to see if anyone noticed the title 😢 I guess this kind of behavior was acceptable in the past. It bugs me when certain people of older generations get annoyed by younger generations being “overly sensitive.” 😕 I guess they want us to keep accepting disturbing behavior
Knowing what we know now abt what Britney had gone through, that stupid Diane Sawyer interview hits so much differently now...knowing that poor girl had to get an abortion, & Timberlake left her shortly after, and then popped off she was cheating on him and knowing the skeez we know Justin Timberlake has always been now - my heart breaks all over again for her.
Why not _show_ the clips, instead of describing them? For instance, they didn’t show any of the “inappropriate” questions Letterman asked Lohan. Instead, we get 5 seconds of her reaction.
@@thomasofone a dozen other videos show the clips that they’re referring to with full audio and video. Copyright laws would still allow you to play at least eight seconds of the audio. Instead they play like two unrelated seconds.
I'm wondering now if Harvey is what happened to her career. She was getting lots of respect for acting, then she disappeared. I know drugs and other things were involved. But now I wonder if Harvey had her blacklisted like he did to so many others.
Well, you do realize that eighTEEN and nineTEEN are still teens, so "how old exactly" is actually a legitimate question... although it turned out he really meant "any teen", it doesn't change the fact that "how old exactly" is a legit question.
@8:50 there is an interview done with jimmy saville. the interviewer wasnt having it. saville kept joking. the audience was even laughing. the interviewer was like,"i dont find any of this funny, answer the questions."
Savile wasn't quite unique. But he was definitely hiding in plain sight for his entire career. In the entry related to him in this video it's stated that he was a 'widely beloved media personality..' Hmmmm yeah... Clearly written by someone who wasn't even born by the time the Savile creature died. Even as far back as the 1970's Savile had TV shows and was undoubtedly popular amoungst his BBC paymasters. But the (adult) public in general was well aware of his supposed predilections even back then. And he was definitely a figure who was reviled by as many as he was liked.
@@frankbrodie5168 I used to live in Ireland in the 70s and remember Jimmy Savile. He seemed to be very popular back then in Britain most especially with the kids. I never liked him. I always thought he was creepy. Saw the biography they had on him and understand now why there was something about him that really turned my stomach.
He hid behind being a philanthropist , helping children's hospitals, even got Princess Diana involved. But, he picked innocent children from these hospitals to abuse. There is also a video where he is announcing an act on Top of the Pops where a girl next to him started trying to jump away, shocked look on her face. He had his hand up her dress but didn't miss a line. She tried to tell another adult there and they said, oh that's just Jimmy being Jimmy.
@@lotstodo yeah I totally believe that, and you’re right, he did hide behind his philanthropy. As long as he was making money or throwing it around, everybody loved him And his bad behavior was excused away, by adults! Very frightening, the epitome of the dirty old man!

Geena Davis's movie debut was in Tootsie (1982), starring Dustin Hoffman. I think the reason why is because no hindsight is needed, all these interviews are about how they look now upon looking back at them. That’s my hunch. The Prince Andrew one was just a train wreck from the outset

I remember watching the Barbara Walters interview and thinking, is she really trying to shush him and shame him out of telling his truth because of " The industry". Really Barbara, the industry? Way to gaslight the fuck out of him and make him feel guilty and ashamed for being ao brave to open up about the truth of what he went through for years and his friends. That requires to have an amount of self insight. And that is something that can be easily obscured when you are being told that you are the best, most handsome/beautiful and most talented person ever, as many of the yes-men that are placed around you in the entertainment industry will tell you. 16:16 the interviewer is Anne-Marie Losique, the interviews with Affleck were done during her show Box-Office, she now almost work inclusively in the porn industry with many shows and her own channel. We just have respect for women and are far better people than these predators. Men have no decency and are degenerates.
I'm a straight woman and it is indeed extremely alarming and disgusting and accurate. I also have experienced gang rape from the builders of my house and my supervisor and subordinates from the office joined in with them. The violence of the male community against the female community is out of control.
Poor Melissa Benoist She and many others who have experienced abusive relationships and have to lied from exposing it has to be difficult in their lives. No one, no matter what gender or race, should not be allowed to be in a relationship if the partner is violent
My sister was in an abusive relationship 20 years ago. Before the rest of her family knew her boyfriend was abusive, she and I got together and I realized she was missing her front tooth. She made up some story that she got drunk the night before and hit her tooth on a toilet when she threw up. I didn’t buy it, and begged her to come with me to the police station. She wouldn’t. The relationship went on for 5 more years, ending when he strangled her and left her for dead in a ditch. She survived, and he served 10 years in prison. That SOB died of cancer 2 years ago. Thank God!
Sigh. I remember years ago while with an abusive ex, he was throwing a tantrum and threw steel toed shoes at me. He did it twice. I was sitting on the floor criss cross and the first shoe he hurled at me, my reflexes made me raise my shin and that's where it got me. I yelped and before I knew it the other one was coming toward me and hit me in the other shin. BOTH of my shins were COMPLETELY blue and black, so bad to where I was being asked by total strangers what happened. Of course I wasn't allowed around anyone unless he was there, so I had to lie and say I fell on rocks while hiking. I luckily managed to get out of that relationship, and to this day he is the only person in the world that I hate.

Oprah didn't "laugh it off" but she did give a sarcastic remark as if mentally saying "Girrrrrrrl, I'm a size ## and _you're_ the one with the ED? No, it wasn't proper but it doesn't make her a monster. Ppl like to tilt at windmills, lol.
You would think after all the questions and criticisms oprah faced her whole career, she would absolutely know to stay away from questions about people’s weight, size or anything of the kind! She’s shameless and ruthless.
It’s unlikely that Diane Sawyer will ever apologize for her drive-Britney-to-tears interview. Asking the appropriate and right questions to keep the interviewee and viewers comfortable is just so wrong these days, all because celebs want to make a big buck. And people mock others for not worshipping idols in any way, shape, or form.
While I agree she was out of line, a true journalist isn't afraid to (respectfully) ask the hard questions to really get at the heart of a person/issue, that's good journalism. Brainless talking heads do nothing but serve up softballs and other "corporate safe" questions.
Good for Love for actually saying something. It appears that many, many people were aware of what Weinstein was doing and no one ever spoke out for fear of career repercussions. At least she said something! Probably why her film career died.
I knew about Vin Diesel's one for years. "Since when is this beautiful world?" The man is unhinged, that what happens when the size of your paycheck outweighs the size of your talent (that's what Marlon Brando said about Vin Diesel)
Britney Spears was so well spoken in that Diane Sawyer interview. She is the perfect example of the industry picking someone apart. Especially young women. Hell, even older women, because apparently it's a crime to age. But the fact that Diane Sawyer has never come out and apologized for her egregious treatment of Britney during that interview will piss me off every time I think about it.

Yeah, the Ben Afflec and Anne-Marie Losique thing is so stupid. It was taken out of context. Her show was all about sex. She was interviewing celebreties in her underwear in a bed. The point of the show was flirts and sex. She was a consenting participant of it all. She was even most of the time the instigator of those sexyal comments. And I'm not victim blaming here. She really did have a lot of fun on those sets with those celebreties. She actually still is an important figure in the porn industry. She is an amazing business woman.
The clips with Ben Affleck were from her show Box-Office, mostly centered around interviews about movies. She later took a 100% turn towards the sex industry, with shows and her own channel. She did talk about the interviews with Ben Affleck during the "Me too" mouvement in 2017 and said that nothing happened that she did not consent to. Basicly, she shut down any claims that he had made unwanted advances. Looking back today with context, the whole thing is gringed.
@gts2550 you don't need people to live. Plenty of people live their whole lives alone, without any significant impact from anyone living. Sure, other people are fun cuz of the drama or whatever, but ultimately unnecessary.
The worst type of interviewers are those who have a name for being charismatic and intelligent but actually are just cleaver at being manipulative have no empathy and are really just tabloid hacks at heart.
Melissa Benoist's dv revelation video still makes me cry. It was one of the few on this list that I'd seen the prior interview before the revelation and it floored me. Knowing what she was hiding behind the laughter and the smiles was soul crushing. Eff that pos man-baby who did those things to her. I'm not even gonna give his name a mention as he deserves to fade into shamed obscurity.

Diane Sawyer defends a woman's remark that she would shoot Britney Spears...and she doesn't get cancelled?

I have to agree with you. I never liked either one of them, but I do feel very sad for Mariah Carey in that instance.
Ellen will never know what it's like to have a miscarriage, abortion or be pregnant. She hates any and all babies!
Absolutely, it is disturbing and completely unacceptable. I see sh*t like this and it really infuriates me. I F'n hate it. It doesn't matter that you are gay. So what? I am straight.
It's sexual assault, only got away with it because they're celebrities
It always has been, but it's never just celebrities
@@H_H_____ I am sorry.
Poor Melissa Benoist
She and many others who have experienced abusive relationships and have to lied from exposing it has to be difficult in their lives. No one, no matter what gender or race, should not be allowed to be in a relationship if the partner is violent
"Should not be allowed?"
That's a confusing way to put that.
Thank God!
@@QueenOfTheNorth65 I hope she's Ok now. 😢
I almost feel like a short course in recognizing narcissistic/sociopathic personalities should be a requirement in Middle/High School health class. I don't care what you think you "deserve", NOBODY deserves to be treated like that, and there are plenty of decent people who won't treat you like crap.
The Letterman one was difficult to watch
Barbara Walter’s and Oprah had a lot of problematic moments during their entire career.
Is there anyone in Hollywood that isn't a pervert or sexual predator?
Reeves, Jackman, Smith. Washington, Hanks, Damon, Freeman
Tom hanks is a bad example lol@@blackguyofthesouth2161
@leculduchien1386 He didn't. He was sleeping with his step granddaughter though.
@@blackguyofthesouth2161 I'll accept everyone but Morgan Freeman. Guy slept with his step granddaughter. That's extremely perverted.
Yes, but touching a woman on the head is now predatory behavior. It's sad but that's what we've come to
The Olsen twins should have asked Oprah what size do she wears
That wasn't the only time she did something like that
She tried to out Nathan Lane and Robin Williams protected him.
Ughhhh... get off the gas. All she did was ask "What size are you?"
WTF?? They were talking about weight, something Oprah has a long history with discussing.
@@SmifLaly Right? At the time, the inference was (how we all know) Oprah spent my entire lifetime on a weight loss yoyo and even then was probably "fat" by Hollywood's standards. So, while it's easy to empathize, it's hard to sympathize with these two wealthy Hollywood kids who were never overweight even by Parisian high fashion metrics.
It was disgusting. Overweight matronly looking women are always trying to take bites out of young women.
@@SmifLaly Oprah was tyalking about a disorder, a sickness. She had no business doing so. But wait, it was her business model.
The Romans were right in believing that entertainers and athletes deserved the same social status as the servants.
As prostitutes.
I remember back when the world was good and kind. Or at least back when i was so young that i had yet to learn how cold and ugly it really was.
I believe you are thinking of childhood, before we are made aware of all the troubles of the world 😔 I miss those days too.
It was never good and kind. It's always been ugly with some good and kind people in it
What? Glad you got to live in a dream world!😂
You would think after all the questions and criticisms oprah faced her whole career, she would absolutely know to stay away from questions about people’s weight, size or anything of the kind!
I’m always wondered what made her say it? Did she have a personal experience or hear a story from a few women? Maybe rose mcgowan
I knew about Vin Diesel's one for years. "Since when is this beautiful world?" The man is unhinged, that what happens when the size of your paycheck outweighs the size of your talent (that's what Marlon Brando said about Vin Diesel)
Marlon was pretty fkd up, too. Was. Is. Is he alive, lol?
@@brandy4250 he is long dead
Brando didn't even know Diesel exists.
Marlon Brando?? Wrong timeline buddy. lol
Hunter S. Thompson saying he likes to kill on Letterman is disturbing since allegations arose that he filmed snuff films.
Doesn't anyone else hate how mojo never let's us hear audio or watch actual footage of stuff? They'd rather hear themselves talk.
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! I have not heard nor seen most of the interviews on the list until today. Wow, I'm kind of shocked at what some celebrities have said and done. 🥶
That Letterman one 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
Yeah, what the hell!?! That was one of the creepiest things I've ever seen....in what world did he think that was OK?
Letterman acted in such a disgusting way. I'm glad his time on TV is over
His oogling with Teri Garr during her interviews are horrible. Garr is very smart and shuts him down gracefully but firm. He is so bad at hiding it on t.v.
@@joelwillems4081 smh. Garr was on about 20 times. It was shtick. She even came back on during Letterman's last week or two, barely able to walk because of her illness, and you could tell they were old pals.
Why Oprah wasn't grilled over that interview back then? I don't know.
Because she's Black
Props to C.K. Lewis for being the only celebrity to own up to his poor decisions.
I always thought these interviews were staged, but in light of today’s awareness, creepy indeed.
It’s so awful all that crap people gave Brittany about not being a good role model.
Lol boo hoo
Hahaha
Good role models are young people doing volunteer work, building schools in third world countries, etc. Not teen pop singers.
How is the R. Kelly interview only number 10?
He's "worse" than Cos.
I recently learned that Bill Murray had been a mean person to work with. But SA? 😞 That's a new one. Poor Gina Davis
Also, Vin Diesel too? 😢 I can't be a fan of anyone. Too many sickos and narcissists in Hellyweird.
This entire list could be made of just about any woman who was interviewed by David Letterman.
Matt Lauer's Interview was cringey, and inappropriate. Did he think he was a late night comedian? I'm a Sandra Bullock fan,and I'd control myself better.
"When you say 'teenager', how young we talking?" Gross. How did he get away with it for so long after that?
Have no heroes, make no friends, leave no family. You'll never make enemies.
What a lonely existence :/
Well yeah if you never live you'll never make any enemies.
@gts2550 you don't need people to live. Plenty of people live their whole lives alone, without any significant impact from anyone living. Sure, other people are fun cuz of the drama or whatever, but ultimately unnecessary.
@OAN3476 ... You're right. I work in Patient Registration. I ask for emergency contacts, and some don't have anyone and they are happy about it.
Courtney Love has no filter and says it like it is. Love her!
ngl surprised about david letterman wasnt expecting the dude to be a creep
I like Letterman but he's definitely a sluuuuut
The weird thing about Danny Masterson is that he play3d a character in a movie called Face Off, where he does just that.
The worst type of interviewers are those who have a name for being charismatic and intelligent but actually are just cleaver at being manipulative have no empathy and are really just tabloid hacks at heart.
Excellent work putting the clips together.
Did watchmojo forget their own videos? They literally made a video just like this 4 months ago, using the same exact scenes and narration. Wtheck?
😂😂😂 at least it's new material... some of it
they quickly repackage it up to get into people's feeds..
They put out so many there's prob alot of repeats
Melissa Benoist's dv revelation video still makes me cry. It was one of the few on this list that I'd seen the prior interview before the revelation and it floored me. Knowing what she was hiding behind the laughter and the smiles was soul crushing. Eff that pos man-baby who did those things to her. I'm not even gonna give his name a mention as he deserves to fade into shamed obscurity.
Obscurity means he's more likely to be hired somewhere with less scrutiny. Let him be famous in a way he wouldn't want so his past continues to follow him.
This vid confirms that Oprah and Diane Sawyer are still the two worst interviewers in TV history!
