I'm a licensed gunsmith that works at an FFL in America. I was pleasantly surprised how well this game was actually made. there's some things that aren't quite right, but you cant be perfect
Or how the first time you get your thumb when removing the buffer spring of an AR.... and then not only are you looking for the big assed spring that went flying but now you've got a sore thumb as well...
It's absolutely what drives my subscription for this channel. His Canadian ways are what drive my most emotional of ways. All praise Drae, and his innocent content!
I am in the Boy Scouts and the cleaning and detachment of the shotgun is extremely accurate because I had to take apart a shotgun and clean it for the shotgun shooting merit badge
Yea to bad this game doesn't have ND ing yourself or the table as a feature and they really should teach firearms basics to help spread the rules for people who don't know anything 1.Always Keep Firearm Pointed in a Safe direction. Never point your gun at anything you do not intend to shoot. ... 2.Treat All Guns as Though They are Loaded. ... 3.Keep Your Finger Off the Trigger until You are Ready to Shoot. ... 4.Always Be Sure of Your Target and What's Beyond It.
Im an actual gunsmith and this was both hilarious because drae just didnt have a clue and deeply upsetting because he didnt have a clue and just does some things the exact opposite way to how your ment to do it
It's pretty funny how you stripped and cleaned the AK, only to then paint a pattern on it that looked like rust and chipped paint. lol This does look really cool though. I dig this type of simulation game and it seems like this one gets really in depth. looking forward to seeing more!
NOT A FAN OF GUNS?! THIS IS 'MERICA! I actually think a game like this would be great for people afraid of guns, they can see how similar they are and that just because it has certain parts (Stock, Grips, Sights) doesn't make it "more scary" or more lethal. Like how AR's aren't "Assault weapons".
This is so in depth and intricate. They included a CNC Machine and a manual lathe which is exactly what it looks like in real life. Gotta try this soon!
I'm a weapons instructor and weapon parts installer and I'm loving the attention to detail this game has, love the fact all the part assembly and dissembly have the part designations areas on the blueprint mat. That is very cool as we have some in our shop when we dissemble a weapon for maintenance as reference.
Id consider myself a pretty big gun enthusiast and am very impressed with the accuracy of this game. And drae youd be suprised how much something like this can really help you understand how a firearm functions.
Here’s the difference man: “clip”refers to a stripper clip circa ww1/2 which isn’t in normal service these days. “Magazine” is what all modern firearms use unless not magazine fed like a standard shotgun or 30/30 rifle ect which are called tubes. Hope that helps but I doubt most care haha.
AND making it MORE complicated, guns that you load with clips (usually bolt action rifles however early pistols like the C96 Mauser also had them) also have magazines but you cannot remove them in combat as they’re inside the gun.
I did leave a few things out as it is a intricate subject but was trying not to write a book. There’s also belt fed military applications. Stripper clips aren’t commonly used these days or since Korea really. There are classic shoot or vintage testing.
I am a gun guy and I wish that gun restoration/ gun maintenance was this easy the biggest problem with cleaning or maintaining a firearm is if you lose a screw or small part that is important especially if you are working on a pistol and you lose the grip screw, good luck shooting the pistol with only one grip.
Drae: " I love that I get a shopping list cuz Idk what I'd be buying otherwise!" Shopping list: Has gun name, Mossberg, right at the top Also Drae: "We have a Mossberg right? I hope we do..."
To call a magazine a magazine is correct. What people call clip, is not a magazine. Almost always, Clips, or loading clips are designed to load a magazine. Those clips don't exist for most guns. Then the magazine that potentially was loaded with the help of a loading clip goes into the gun, if it's an external, detachable magazine.
Drae Thank you for your content it really help me through a stressful time I broke my right arm by not paying attention while I was biking your videos are very helpful for my stressed you're my favorite TH-camr When I got my surgery to fix my elbow that split into two it was a success and I didn't receive nerve damage with the was a good chance
I was in the military Drae. You're correct to call a clip a magazine. They're magazines. Unless you mean that you call actual clips "magazines", in that case you're wrong
the action slide holds the ammo and chambers a new round when you rack the slide. the spring holds against the shells so they actually chamber properly
bottom left of the screen when assembling/disassembling a weapon setting wheel you can turn off auto zoom and itll stop zooming but it still returns to center
Dre I love it dude keep on going deeper into this game I feel like you can Master it after you're done with this game it will be as long as one of your other ones
The best advice for anyone is to visit a gun range. Even if you don't like guns, I still recommend it. It will help you better understand those who do, and your opinion will be more valid. It might also provide insights into why some people enjoy them.
That akm wasn't even that bad looking to me, if black was camo! Usually I'm telling drae to pay attention to stuff on screen lol but this time I'm say don't be so hard on your paint jobs, I mean I was also expecting a pure yellow gun lmao
Your probably correct when you say magazine not clip as clips are less common and are easily differentiated by them being a disposable strip of metal where you can see all of the round and a magazine is non disposable and encases the rounds
hey Drae, you probably won't see this, but in the off chance you do. the easiest way to tell the difference between a clip and a magazine - a magazine houses the ammo internally, whereas a clip does not.
One a magazine it is a rectangle and a clip is like Cuba and 2 for that shotgun the spring from it magazine is to help feed shells in to it and it is under the barrel.

I'm a licensed gunsmith that works at an FFL in America. I was pleasantly surprised how well this game was actually made. there's some things that aren't quite right, but you cant be perfect

the "spiral design" is called rifling AND its absolutely vital to accuracy and trajectory
