I came for a control settings guide and boy did he deliver not only was it better than expected I also got a bit of Wild West footage of a movie I hadn’t seen that now is in my watch list.
Okay I'm mad now. I'm on my second playthrough and have over 100 hours between the two. And only now do I feel like I'm playing this game how my brain always wanted. Hands down best explanation I've heard and your guide really helped. So thank you very much!
Thank You all for your continual Support & for all the recent Subs over the past few weeks!!! I am grateful to bring you another awesome Guide & am looking forward to bringing you more great gaming content! Please don't forget to read the description! Take Care & I will see you very soon!
I loved that you put my favorite scene from my favorite western of all time in the video , I own all Clint Eastwood westerns , but this is my all time favorite one
Btw loved the vid ur quality is like you had 1.000.000 Subs lol (you really are good at youtubing loved the vid) Also do you have discord or a discord server ( i can make them quite well : ) hmu if you want someone to make you one(if you thought i dont charge for a server lol)
5, 9, max, max. When I aim and shoot if I slightly press up and fire headshot almost everytime. I can even be running with a lasso and just tap aim and fire and lasso hits everytime even if I keep running. It works really well on guys on horseback if your on ground. I don’t think dead zone means what you think it means, an area of no effect, it means how accurate or how close you are to a kill shot when you first aim, there’s a small circle that briefly appears when you aim, this is the dead zone, it is large with the meter up and small with the meter down, anything in that circle is instant death if you aim fire real fast, hardly ever need to use deadeye like this
I think you may be confused. When you first Aim your Weapon there will be a Circle if you have it on the default settings. Now if you are standing still the circle created that shrinks will only be so big... but if you are moving... or on horseback, the circle will be much bigger. Deadzone here is the same as in all games, how much you need to move the analog before the crosshair will move. As stated in the video I tested it both on min & max & found no real difference, but again; depending on what the aim/look sensitivity & aim/look acceleration is set to, the deadzone will have a greater effect.
I forgot to mention I’m using an elite controller with the sticks set to aggressive with a increase in the curve on both sticks. I don’t know if something is wrong with my left stick? I’ve had the controller for 2 years now, but when I set both sticks to aggressive and increase the curve twice from center, it makes every game super reactive. Without it set I can’t run by pressing in on the joysticks unless it’s pressed really hard, with aggressive I can barely push down on both and get instant reaction
I can't believe no-one is talking about how HORRIBLE the running/sprinting mechanic is for 1st person... If you slightly move the left stick you stop running completely. If you don't hold the L3 button down strenuously as hard as you possibly can you stop running completely. Id you turn it to Toggle it will STILL stop running completely. If you change to STANDARD SCHEME with X as run the L3 becomes a VERY SENSITIVE turning function AND YOU ARE RUNNING IN CONSTANT S FORMATIONS ON SCREEN AND CAN BARELY STAY STRAIGHT!!!! Am I alone here... out of all the rdr2 TH-cam videos, reddit and the internet. No-one?
No you are not alone in this. While playing the Online I heard that Rockstar was going to add a one tap sprint button to the controls... Honestly I find that very hard to believe... Even in Alpha testing all controls are married to the game & UI so don't count on this getting any better or fixed. & I agree that the controls in this game are wack.
JMK733 not just in 1st person. But in 3rd person too. When you run with a gun/weapon in hand you can’t stop running even if you ain’t tapping the a button. You either have to let go of the left stick or press the button to not have it ready to aim and he will do a slight pause and go back to the normal sprinting mechanic. I wish you can have the weapon in hand sprinting the same as when you have nothing in ur hand. Am I only one that has a problem with it? And if there is way to change it let me know.
Why the FUCK didn't you title your video AIMING CONTROLS and SETTINGS. 15 minutes in, waiting for some info on how to make this guy MOVE better, and all you talk about (ridiculously slowly) is aiming. Click bait!
Hello Snowlock! Thank you for your comment. Sorry the video did not cover the Movement topic you thought might be in the video. I named the video "Ultimate Controls & Settings Guide" because that is the topic of the video. You mentioned that you are looking for a way to improve you're movement? By this, do you mean moving from fast walking to a sprint & back & forth or is there another question you have in mind? With a response, I will do my best to offer you sound advice in the hopes of improving your gameplay. Outside of this, I do hope the video helped you in some way. Get back to me & let me know if you have any questions! Take care!

This game has the worse controls I've ever seen in a third/first SHOOTING game.
