Number 3 hit me hard. A family member did the same to me and I was forced to be quiet and "keep it in the family," until I broke down and told a counselor. She got the cops involved and the family member went to prison. I got justice but was still changed forever. I feel for anyone who had to go through anything like that. It's rough, but I'm proof that we can make it. Be strong!

Jennifer Dixon My big sister went through the same thing and when she told our parents about it my mom's side of the family stood up for the family member who did it and wouldn't believe my sister. I don't know if he's gotten what he deserved but i'm pretty sure he died a few years ago.
its amazing how a little child (first story) can recognise danger and wrongness when they encounter it, even if they cant understand it.
im deeply saddened by the effect that event had on the person who submitted the story, but i also believe that their reaction was perfectly understandable and i hope that they are doing better as of now

the heartaker I'm a self harmer and have been in and out of mental hospitals because of suicide attempts because I was gang raped and sodomised by eight guys when I was seventeen, first with their penises then with a knife. I was left with a broken jaw, a broken wrist, four broken ribs, 18 stitches inside my anal passage and thirteen stitches inside my vagina. Worst of all I can't have kids now because of the internal trauma of being raped with a knife. The last time I was sectioned one if the nurses told me something that really stuck with me, he said every time I hurt myself they win

#3 That's EXACTLY what happened to me with my cousin except I had walked in on him masturbating. Since I was around 3-4 to 12 he molested me. When I finally told my Mother, she told her sister, his Mother who, in turn, asked my cousin. He denied it & I was told not to ever again tell such horrible & nasty lies & I was put on medication & in therapy to talk about why I was so sexually deviant & why I had fantasies about me & my cousin together. It really has made me one fucked up individual today. My Dad never knew until about 5 years ago & he was livid. Finally, someone believed my but the damage is done & because I never said anything until the night I told my Mom at 12, he got my sister too. && no one had believed me, they all thought I was sick in the head. I didn't know my Dad was never told but I know how it feels & feel so badly for that girl. If anyone ever goes through something like this with a family member, tell SOMEONE until someone believes you because it will eat you up inside & change your life forever.

may i add to all that have been sexually abused it does get better honest, please tell someone don't worry if they think that your lying . Because you know the truth. Please find a good counselor and don't hold back. i know because it happened to me. i was accused if being a liar, but when j looked my mother in the face and told her favorite sexual position she just looked so shocked. But hey that's for another time. i am just writing here to say it does get better. Trust me.....
Additionally, there will be bad counselors out there but don’t be discouraged by it. Just find another one, don’t let one or more bad experiences with them ruin it all. Hell, the police referred me to a terrible, terrible counselor but I ended up finding a different one once the news broke at my school and he was great. He’s actually the reason I’m going to college to be a counselor, because I’d love to help someone else the way he helped me.

Could you please put a warning in the beginning of videos containing sexual assault? As someone who has had to deal with it in the past, it's not something I like to be reminded of and actually heavily impedes my day. I love your channel and I think I've seen almost all of your videos. Oddly enough I watch them before bed and find them soothing. It's a darn good thing it wasn't below 40 degrees for that paintball story, because that spider would have frozen up and shit would have ended much much differently. My family owns a paintball party and supply company, and I've not met someone who's had luck with one of those things in ages. so glad it worked out well, though.

I felt really bad for the girl in the 1st story since I had encountered the exact issue when younger...hope she is doing well now!
I had a cousin who used to do really weird things with my feet and I can’t think about it without having a panic attack, it never progressed to anything worse but I feel disgusting every time I think about it, I’ve never said anything about it to anyone.
And like I really don’t know how to bring it up and it was so long ago that even when it happened I knew what was going on and I just pretended to ignore it and not notice because I was too scared to say anything cause I worried he’d do something worse if I seemed like I knew.

I didn't have that happen, but I had a family member grab me by my neck when I was 8. I don't remember why he did it or what I was crying about but I was definitely upset about something and I guess whatever it was made him do it

I resonate with the 3rd story. 😔 I was about the same age as them. It wasn’t as bad as what happened to them. But when you are 6 years old asleep in bed and are awaken by your aunts ex-husband just to be molested. Things haunt you and you grow up faster then you should. 😢 one thing is for sure. No matter how much help a family member needs, no one can stay at my house other then my husband, children, and me.
And no, I didn’t tell anyone. I wasn’t sure what had happened. I knew it was bad but I was confused and hurt. And this is the first time I have ever told anyone. Besides my husband and God, no one has ever known this.
Almost the same thing happened to me as in "Dont tell anyone." But thank God i got over it and my family now talks.
Hey Darkness as another person mentioned can you please put out a warning or notice when your videos contain sexual abuse/assault ? While other survivors might not be triggered some end up having worse flashbacks and night terrors - we all cope and heal differently.
