Story #1 Reminds me of when my dad sat me down and told me that if I was ever attacked by a dog, I should shove my hand down its throat and ball my hand into a fist, to suffocate it. (I was in elementary school at the time, and this was before I did get attacked by a dog... and no, it wasn't a pitt or pitt mix. Just some neglected, territorial mutt that got out of the yard.)
Hex Isme Being attacked by dogs are the worst, I'm recovering from a accident that happened in March, our own dog bit me on my cheek, I remember it all, in fact I remember the point when it was hanging of my cheek!

There's another method. Present weak arm (left in most people), allow dog to clamp onto arm, (wrap shirt or hoodie around arm prior), draw knife with strong hand, slit dog's throat.
Assuming you don't have a gun, in which case, shoot the damn mutt.

In my neck of the woods. 2 towns over. A lady in her garden was attacked by a Bobcat. She will be ok. They put the Bobcat down. He was rabid. Had a chin full of Porcupine quills too.

I love camping, me and my family go. One time they had lit a fire, which the owner had started with them, i had walked off to the river a mile away with my new friend Joey. He was the owner's son and around my age. We picked up some twigs and stuff for the fire and his dog barked at some squirrels on the ground. We didnt know he was there because we'd been joking around so when his dog barked we screamed. In the end we came back to campsite and my sister called us scaredy cats

Excellent episode. I think that these stories have more validity than so many others. I have a campsite in the middle of 40 acres. I can assure you that I am more concerned over wild dogs, coyotes and bears (through rare) than any crypts
camping stories and deep Forrest stories are the most interesting
The more I listen to these camping stories, the happier I am that as a disabled-widowed-single-parent, I wasn't able to take my son camping-it was something he'd always wanted to do when he was younger, I tried to get the equipment on loan to us from friends and other places, but none of it was available at the same time... Thank God. Now as a grown man, who also listens to these scary/creepy stories, he has no desire to ever go camping.
I'm going camping next month. This won't stop me from going 😆

Same kinda happend to my grandfather way back but it was a tiger attack he never saw it coming the tiger took his whole head in the jaws he suffered some punctured wounds on the neck and was clawed badly but she was protecting the young, but luckily she let him go and just left with the cubs my grandpa was a bloody mess almost died at the hospital but survived
That clifty state falls thing is odd to me cuz my daughter and I went last spring (it's only 30 miles from my house) and I have video of us there where I said "look these rock formations look like steps for giants" and I even labeled my video that. So listening to that story I was like 'are you kidding me?" Lol

the cougar attack could've easily been avoided. you'd both have to look as big as possible and make loud noises, to scare the cougar. and If that didn't work, be ready, those animals can hit 40 mph really fast, you have to be ready, while you may be petrified, you still need to stand your ground, if you have a weapon on you, go for the neck, that's a killing blow against any animal. if you don't have any weapon on you, go for the eyes and face

An uncle of mine was stalked by a cougar while deer hunting once, it jumped him right as he was bracing to take a buck so he had a round chambered and luckily for him (and his freakish reflexes) he managed to shoot the thing fatally mid charge. We still have it’s pelt and skull (he had a cougar tag, deer tag, and bear tag for that season)
