Incredibly talented these two, great match. Such a shame Haas had all those injuries.

What a beautiful match ❤️. Tommy Haas could have easily won so many grand slams with his technique and grace. Loved the match especially backhand of Tommy and about Federer he is goat anyways, so no comments about FedEx :)

Not sure he had the mentality or weight of shot to do it.

Fa impressione vederli giovani e promettenti vent'anni fa. A Federer è andata leggermente meglio. Qui inaugura però la serie dolorosa di sconfitte epiche con match point non sfruttato

You can see the forehand of Federer here is no where near his deadly forehand later in his career.

Agassi and sampras was better players than federer, nadal and djokovic, because federer got few victories against agassi and sampras, when both got dropped their tennis level and physical condition, because federer was in his highest level when Agassi and Sampras were Top, that means federer didn't improve his tennis level, simply like I repeat, agassi and sampras dropped their tennis level and physical condition.

I think the players are less important than the coaching, surfaces, and technology (racquets and balls, fitness training). The players’ styles reflect the trends the game sees year after year.
Wooden racquets became composite racquets made of aluminum and steel with larger head sizes, changing the style of play. And again these racquets became lighter as graphite was used, but could still be strong enough. The emphasis became more on fitness and endurance as the courts slowed down, and technique changed. Agassi and Sampras themselves highly praised Federer’s talent as did everyone else and he was often called the greatest of all time even before 2006. But the surfaces continued to slow and the game changed so Federer’s attacking style was less effective over time. His technique is unparalleled, it’s absolutely perfect. Balanced and flowing, not awkward or particularly vulnerable to flaws. He should have switched to the larger head size much earlier so he could compete on the baseline for longer, but he was stubborn. It’s too bad because on a technical level he’s the model player, but the sport is more mental than that and that’s the one big weakness in his play

Different generations. He faced Sampras just once at wimbledon 2001. It was not pete best versión. Roger is 10 years younger than Sampras and 11 yeads younger than Agassi. Andre stayed on Tour few years more than Pete and face Roger 11 times: 8-3 for Federer
